    產品介紹

Meet your guide in Venice’s Jewish Ghetto, a historical area in the Cannaregio neighborhood of the city. Many consider the area to be a little piece of authentic Venice, tucked away from the well-trodden tourist trail, where the streets resonate with the sounds of locals laughing and catching up on gossip.
Hear how the Jewish Ghetto was the first of its kind in the world, and how it served as the inspiration for William Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice, as you amble along its pretty streets. While the Jewish population in the ghetto reached a peak of 4,000 inhabitants by the mid-17th century, today Venice is home to around 500 Jews who live all over the city. The quarter still thrives as a spiritual and cultural center for Venice's Jewish community; synagogues and kosher restaurants are just a few of the sights seen, as well as a traditional open-air market, mask-making workshop and bustling independent shops.
After getting a feel for the area, check out three of the ghetto’s atmospheric b?cari. The venues visited are subject to change, but your guide knows the most interesting drinking dens in the area and will select bars based on their good food and wine, friendly atmosphere and d?cor — think of convivial bars straight out of Italian films with elegant, wine glass lined brick and stone walls.
Inside each bar, enjoy a glass of ombra (Venetian slang for local wine) as well as plates of cicchetti — the tasty Venetian appetizers that are served all over the city. The dishes vary, but you can expert tantalizing offerings such as expertly seasoned meatballs, creamy cod mousse or colorful bruschetta. As you nibble on the tasty treats, hear insights from your guide about the local wine and learn about daily life in Venice.
Your tour finishes near Campo della Maddalena, leaving you ideally placed to return to the center independently or continue your night of eating and drinking in the area at your own expense.

While Lara was a pleasant and well informed guide, who gave us a great tour of the history of the Jewish Ghetto, the cicchetti tasting part of the tour was very disappointing. We visited three bars, two of which served the same food. We were only give a table and chairs at the first bar. For the remaining two bars we had to stand in the street holding wine in one hand and food in the other while being jostled by passing tourists. There was not even a table on which to perch our glasses while trying to remove the toothpicks from the finger food we were eating. I have done several food walking tours in different countries and this was the worst one I have experienced.

It was the second visit for us in Venice. We enjoyed this evening and were really impressed about historic facts of this district.

Guide was lovely. The Jewish Ghetto itself is incredibly small, so much of the tour was near or around the area, as opposed to everything being inside the Ghetto and focused on the jewish history.

This was an excellent tour! Lara, our guide, was fun, energetic, and very knowledgeable about Venice. We enjoyed walking around the Jewish ghetto, learning about the history of that section of the city and how it influenced the city as a whole, and visits to three bacari bars to sample different cicchetti and wine. The variety of samples was great and each place was prepared for our arrival. Lara recommended a great seafood restaurant during the tour and even helped give us directions to go back for dinner at conclusion of the tour. We had a great time and would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Venice!

This tour was not good. Way too much walking and not enough food or wine. The food was OK at best. Not enough explanation about why this food was chosen or about the history of how it pertains to the Venetian culture. The last food option was anchovies, not a dessert, literally leaves a bad taste in your mouth?? Wine was provided 3 times. Again, no explanation about what we were drinking. The only choice was white or red. No options within this group or a local variety. All 3 wines were very small in size. Do not waste your time or money on this tour.

EXCELLENT!!!! Worth going and now a favourite part of Venice every time I visit.

Plentiful food - great wines. The service at each place was speedy and friendly. We were even able to sit at several places! Our guide was great. She was of course an expert on the ghetto and her English was exceptional. The only downside was the timing. It was after drk when we were in the Ghetto so the beautiful monuments to the dead weren't visible.

A lot of fun great way to sample local cuisine and wines and make new friends

Honestly, not worth the steep price. The guide was very soft-spoken and without headphones we could not hear her most of the time. The tour was not well organised and at each stop someone had to wait too long for drinks / cicchetti. She never did explain what the Jewish Ghetto had to do with the wine. The ghetto history that I could hear was very interesting. The evening views of Venice from each location were breathtaking.
