Confirmation will be received at time of booking Please arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the tour departure time. At the tour departure point you will meet a representative who will check your vouchers and give you information to do the tour. During the winter period (from November 1st to March 31st) the tour is bilingual, so explanations are provided in two languages if the audience provenience is mixed. Access to the Basilica is only permitted to visitors with suitable attire (no shorts or vest or tops) and backpacks are not allowed for safety reasons. The Procuratoria di San Marco reserves the right to PROHIBIT VISITS and access to the basilica at any time and without notice for reasons of force majeure (e.g. high water) and/or safety reasons In cases of extra liturgical ceremonies, exceptional high tides or other special occasions, access to St Mark's Basilica may not be permitted and therefore the tour will not take place. No credit or refunds will be given in the case of a no show (if you don't show up at the meeting point at the time indicated on your voucher) This is a collective tour, which means there might be other participants going on the tour with you. Please note that, due to the particular morphological structure of Venice and the logistic problems resulting from it, we cannot guarantee that the whole tour is accessible to people with limited mobility. This means that people with walking difficulties and wheelchair users could not be able to access some parts of the itinerary. From November 1st 2015 to March 31st 2016: Bilingual Tour (explanations are provided in two languages if the audience provenience is mixed): English: from Monday to Saturday; Spanish: Wednesday, Saturday; French: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday; German: Monday, Friday. I know the guide thought he was speaking English, but you could have fooled me. His accent was so thick you would need a chain saw to cut through it. Also, the microphone system only worked half of the time and the other half the crackling was so loud you could not hear anything. My recommendation is to get in line early and do the audio guide. At least you will be able to understand that guide

A phenomenal place to visit and skip the line is a must as it was packed, not just for the queue outside but to navigate the crowds inside.

We have had other tours with this company that were great, but this one was not good. The tour guide was not enthusiastic or engaged and his accent was way too thick to understand. I caught maybe 20 of what he said.

This Basilica is a most see if you are in Venice. Tour guide was very informative. only complaint were the crowds.

Actually, I'd give no stars if possible as we were never able to find the guide so we got no special tour. We got there 30 minutes early to be able to find the guide. Our tour was supposed to be at noon on 11/7/17. It was raining and there was significant flooding so the risers were in use making the logistics even more tricky than usual while trying to get to the appointed meeting place Clock Tower, not Bell Tower. The only good news was there was no line to get into St. Mark's, partially because of the weather/flooding I'm sure. We also asked the Guards at the doors a few minutes later and they hadn't seen the tour guide either--and as we wandered around inside we never saw a group that looked like they belonged to this tour. Of the 8 Viator tours we took in Oct/November of 2017 this was the only one that was a disappointment.

The tour was to start at 12.00, we stood around for at least 15 minutes waiting for something to happen, the tour leader then went off with backpacks so another 5 minutes gone. We then stood near the entrance and tour leader says hopefully we can skip the line - we shall just have to wait and see. Apparently and according to the tour leader the only way we got in had something to do with another backpack. This tour is SKIP THE LINE: St Mark's Basilica Guided Tour supposed to be for 1 hour. We were ushered out at exactly 1pm, very poor will not recommend this tour EVER. NO PHOTOS ALLOWED INSIDE ST MARK'S. I have tried to book other tours on line through Viator and have really been messed around, won't bother with this company again.

We enjoyed the inside look at St. Mark's. Our guide was very informative. There was a line-up to enter the Basilica but we did not have wait which was a real bonus. Great tour, wonderful guide.

The guide spent a lot of time politicking . We went back ourselves with a Rick Steves free audio tour and got a lot more out of the tour.
