The Sicilian town of Corleone was the birthplace of many members of the characters from The Godfather, but Corleone was too developed in the early 1970s to be used for filming. So director Francis Ford Coppola opted for the traditional towns of Savoca and Forz□ d'Agr□, just outside of Taormina. Start with a pickup from select hotels in Taormina or in Messina province for your 4-hour Godfather tour, during which you’ll see first-hand where scenes from some of the greatest films of all time were shot.
Settle into your comfortable coach and travel along the Sicilian coast to Savoca. Hop out to walk the streets of tiny, tucked-away town in the hills. Here you'll visit Church of Santa Maria Degli Angeli and enter the spooky underground crypt in the Convent of the Frati Minori Cappuccini. Get your picture taken at Bar Vitelli, the iconic bar where Michael Corleone asked Apollonia's father to meet his daughter.
Make the most of 30 minutes of free time in the village to explore independently or perhaps relax with a coffee (own expense) before heading to your next stop: Forz□ d'Agr□.
The stone-paved pedestrian lanes and traditional buildings of this medieval hilltop town made for the perfect backdrop for the Godfather films. Here, visit the church that appears in several scenes in The Godfather and The Godfather: Part II, followed by some free time to explore on your own.

This is a wonderful tour of the two towns that scenes of The Godfather were shot in. Our guide Christy was knowledgeable and had may facts that made the trip even more interesting. Bar Vitelli, in Savoca, was charming. Be sure to try their special Lemon Granita with an extra shot of liquore . There was enough time to wander around both towns. A short trip from Taormina.

This was a very good tour and generally an excellent value for the cost. There are multiple companies offering Godfather Tour options. This tour was one of the more economically-priced ones, but I don't feel that it was inferior in any way to the more expensive options from other companies. The guide was very knowledgeable about Sicilian history and provided not only extensive details about the filming of The Godfather films in Sicily, but also Sicilian history in general. She also provided some history about Savoca and Forza d'Agro, which I appreciated. We spent much more time in Savoca than Forza d'Agro, so our time in the latter was exceptionally brief. Time goes by very quickly, however, and you do go through both towns at a brisk pace, with lots of walking.

Our guide had a good knowledge of the area and the films. Ciuld have done with another 1/2 hour at Savoca but well worth a visit.

Fun tour. Tour guide spent too much time on her phone with personal phone calls. could have given more information.

It was a very organised and easy tour. They picked us up from the hotel which was great and we visited 2 villages. First village Savoca was great as we had enough time to get a drink, walk around and take photos but the second village Forza d'Agro we were rushed a little bit. We only had 30 minutes I guess and were shown a church which was in the film but there was another church that was in two films of Godfather and actually is more important and we saw that completely by chance and it was very last minute. I dont think anyone else had the chance to see that which was a shame. The guide was very nice and polite, the driver was very good. I would recommend it to my friends and family.

If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. What the lady guide knows, not only about The Godfather tour, but about the area we travelled through, is very knowledge able. She really takes you into the atmosphere of old Sicily. The people of these villages are also very welcoming, and friendly. You see more than you should, and take in the history of these areas. If you can only do 1 tour, I suggest this one.
