Strap on your helmet and adjust your shades as you capture memories of this famous coastline.Ease into your Vespa ride exploring Sorrento, a charming town famous for limoncello and views of the Bay of Naples, where it is said that the Roman emperor Caligula built a bridge of boats across the bay and rode across in a chariot. In the distance, see the island of Capri and Mt Vesuvius.Then, venture with your guide to Positano, a former fishing village that acted as a port of the Amalfi Republic in medieval times. Now it’s full of dazzling restaurants and cliffside hotels. Dismount here for a stroll and marvel at the steeply stacked houses cascading down to the ocean.Enjoy a break for cake and coffee an hour into the tour, and then continue to the town of Amalfi, the former trading power in the Mediterranean in the 9th and 10th centuries. In the early afternoon, snack on traditional Italian fare at a local restaurant in Pogerola (own expense). Then, scoot to the heavenly town of Ravello and perch yourself high atop this UNESCO World Heritage site for sensational views overlooking gardens and Amalfi.Next, depending on your preference, continue your voyage to either Villa Climbrone or Villa Rufolo (own expense).
