When your cruise ship docks in Sorrento, your private driver will pick you up from the port and drive you along the breathtaking Amalfi Coast to Positano. Explore the central Piazza dei Mulini, connected to a narrow downhill path and a few flights of steps that lead to the oceanfront. This must-see place offers a unique opportunity to discover the natural landscapes as well as the culture of Positano. Follow narrow streets to the Church of St Maria Assunta, a great example of medieval art.
Continue your trip to the charming village of Amalfi, situated right on the coast. Explore Piazza Duomo and ask your driver for a recommendation on where to eat; there are several bars and cafes to choose from. Enjoy a traditional Italian lunch (own expense) before discovering the beauty of the magnificent Cathedral of St Andrew, named after the patron saint and protector of Amalfi. Visit the 13th-century Museo della Carta (Museum of Handmade Paper) (own expense) and discover original paper presses, still preserved and in full operation.
As your driver chauffeurs you around the picturesque coast of Amalfi, enjoy splendid views of the small villages and the sea as you take in the beautiful scenery. Finally, reach the village of Ravello. Perched on top of a mountain cliff, Ravello is famous for some of the most beautiful seaside villas in Italy. Visit some of the public villas and explore their gardens, rich in sweet scents of blooming flowers and perfumes of lemons.
In the afternoon, your driver will return you to the Sorrento port.

Our guide and driver, Leo, combined a very professional manner with unending information about the Amalfi coast and the towns he drove us through. We were quite pleased with how he told us about the long history and all the unique features of this area. He has quite an impressive memory and a flair for making it seem so real. For a very enjoyable lunch, he took us to a charming local restaurant high on one of the many hills. Even though this was the most expensive tour we took while in Italy, Leo made it well worth it.

What an easy, fun and worry-free this experience was! I was apprehensive about our ship arriving later than our tour time was scheduled, but a quick phone call assured me there would be no problem. From there, it was as if we were traveling with a friend. I will also look to Viator for excursions.

Our driver, Gregory, met our ship at
our Sorrento port. From the moment we
met him it was clear it was going to be
a great day! The day began and ended in
Sorrento. We were able to make choices
along the way based on how much time we
wanted to spend in various locations.
He suggested we try his favorite location for
lunch which turned out to be a Michelin 2012
restaurant, and it did not disappoint! If you
want to see Sorrento and the Amalfi coast.
This is the best way to do so! Our group
recommends Gregory and Viator!
