Siena is not far from Florence, surrounded by a lovely Tuscan countryside and beautiful hamlets.
This guided tour of Siena includes the most important sights. You will be guided along the main street of the town, a street that in the Middle Ages belonged to a famous pilgrimage route called Via Francigena. Today, it is along this street where you can see the headquarters of one of the oldest banks in the world, the 'Monte dei Paschi di Siena,' founded in 1472.
Afterwards you will visit the main square of the town, the Piazza del Campo, a beautiful sea shell shaped plaza where the famous Palio horse race is held every year on July 2nd and August 16th.
At the end of the tour you will have the opportunity to admire the impressive facade of the Cathedral dedicated to the Virgin Mary, covered with colorful local marbles, where works of art by renowned artists like Michelangelo, Donatello, and Bernini are kept. During the trip you will hear the secrets of this magnificent medieval town, of its history and of the Palio race.行程概要出發地點

Silvia was a very friendly, knowledgeable and talented guide. We'd been to Siena before and had stayed right in town, but had explored on our own with the help of guide books. We welcomed the opportunity to visit Siena again, and were extremely grateful for our time on tour with Silvia. She explained facts, history and a personal perspective on Siena that we'd not have otherwise received. She was flexible with scheduling and gave us great recommendations for the rest our day's visit back in Siena.

This was by far my favorite tour in our trip to Italy!!! Silvia Roncucci, our tour guide, was AMAZING!!!! We had a group of 14 for the private tour. Silvia was from the area and injected her own personal experiences, which made you feel much more in touch with the area than most tours. We all felt like we got to know the City and the people, even which stores were owned by people from which district, which is very important there due to the horse races! I loved Sienna, and I can't help but think it was because of Silvia's unique way of explaining the people and places we saw. I cannot recommend the Private Sienna Tour w/ Silvia enough!

Silvia was excellent. She met us promptly and was especially great with the children on our tour ho ranged in age from 6 to 12. Her pride in Siena and in being Sianese was evidencdby her colorful and complete description of the condrade, their history and the rivalries among them.
