Be prepared to walk! Days are early and nights are long but you do get to see all that this tour promised. Hotels were more like 3 than 4, meals were adequate but you really do get a taste of Italy. Our tour guide Nicole was so well organized, we actually got to sneak in some shopping along the way. Thanks Nicole!

Got to see so many places but didn't feel rushed which is incredible!. There were usually tours in the mornings and then the afternoons free to ourselves, which was great to see more of what we wanted to see that maybe the rest of the group didn't or to relax and people watch while we ate gelato. We usually came together again at dinner time part of the tour included some of the dinners. Being with the same small group and tour guide meant that it felt like a group of friends who had their separate adventures during the day and shared their stories over dinner each night!

One of the worst tour I had taken. Guide was too lazy to do any guiding and wasted too much time on the bus, which he could have used to give us more info. Meals and hotel rooms were minimal and only that in Venice was adequate. On the way to Milan, it was stated we shall visit Lake Como but we were left at a park at the edge of the lake for 20 minutes and nothing else except a glance of the lake on the bus on the highway! Fortunately, we had a great group16 of us and had no problem with each other. This Tour needs to trim the number of towns to visit Assisi sight in less than 30 minutes? Just enough time to walk through and take a few snap shots! and find more willing to work guides.

My spouse and I had a great time. This is a perfect trip for people traveling Italy the first time. Everything in the itinerary was covered. The tour is well organized, not to mention our tour director Nicola who is very professional and always encourages everyone to be punctual so that we can have more free time on our own. Local guides were informative and knowledgeable regarding the site. Among the hotel that we checked in, we didn't like Hotel Villafranca. Dinner is just okay to satisfy your hunger. It was an enjoyable experience.

This is a good tour. My only complain is that the dinner food being serve at Hotel Continental Venice food is terrible. Aside from that, everything is ok.

  • snadymcd (2015-05-30)3

Really enjoyed seeing so much in a short time. Hotel in Rome not so nice but good service made it better. Some of the meals were not great, but for the price of this tour, you could easily go eat dinner elsewhere and still have it be good value. Extremely well organized. We didn't have any problems at all thanks to our tour manager. Good value, lovely 'hit the highlights' tour of a few regions of Italy.

  • Lara C (2014-04-15)4

Great overview of Italy! The tour leader, Pier, ran a slick operation and the timings worked well in terms of how much time you had at each place. It did feel a bit like a Catholic pilgrimage (loads of visits to churches).
The hotels are average, but clean and relatively comfortable. Food was decent enough. The trip is good value for money. Guides in each town are knowledgeable and friendly.
A definite recommendation, but please note this is more a 6-day tour but still worthwhile.
There is a fair amount of walking but at a comfortable pace and optional extras to Pisa, a gondola ride in Venice and a boat trip around Lake Garda were enjoyable experiences.
