Pompeii where an official guide will take you on a walking tour of the remarkably intact city. Buried by lava and ash when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD, Pompeii was lost for hundreds of years, until its partial rediscovery in 1599. Marvel at the homes, shops, public baths and hear the story of how the city was lost due to the violence of the volcano.

My friend and I loved this tour. The tour guides who coordinated were amazing and very accomodating. The tour guide at Pompeii was very knowledgeable and explained Pompeii’s history and architecture very well. It has inspired me to want to learn more. The lunch at a winery was lovely. The food and wine were excellent. The tour of the property was lovely. Would definitely do this tour again as it provides a wonderful day of food, knowledge and experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed this trip. It's a bit of a trek from Rome to Pompeii in the van but that's the deal with this kind of day trip. We had an excellent guide in Pompeii and our guides for the day were very friendly. The meal and winery experience was probably our favorite part of the day and we vowed to go back and stay there sometime in the future. Visiting Naples was also cool but just a quick pop in with a walk around the city center before we headed back to Rome.

This was such a great day trip. We had a group of 7. Viator picked us up at our apartment which was so convenient. Maria was a great host and MICHAEL our driver was a very good driver.Pompeii was amazing and the lunch at the biological farm was so well done—friendly and such Good food with entertainment. Then we were on to Naples which was short but such lovely views.This is a must do and was worth every penny.. I definitely would recommend.

Our guide and driver provided us with perfect day with comfortable ride, a lot of information, great unforgettable places and great/magical view of Napoli Bay Greatly appreciated

Everything about this day was perfect. We were met early in the morning by a driver and guide. Our guide was so friendly and ready to anticipate our needs. We stopped for a quick croissant and cappuccino along the way and then met our on-site guide at ancient Pompeii. The tour was incredible and the tour guide was able to give us many details and facts we would have missed on our own. The lunch we had been curious about far exceeded our expectations. After a walking tour of the winery we were able to taste several varieties of their wines with our delicious 2 course lunch plus dessert. A short drive into Naples later we took in a scenic view of the bay before driving down and walking around the downtown area. We concluded our time in the city at an ancient 13th century castle. The drive back to Rome was quiet and allowed us to rest in the comfortable van. This tour is a great way to experience the personality of Naples and see the wonders of ancient Pompeii.

Amazing! the local Pompeii guide was an expert and steered us away from the crowds to have a better experience. the lunch at the form was the best! from the wines to the pomodoro, the best way to dine was to appreciate what the land yielded. our hosts were charming and solicitous. Naples was a little hurried but our guide Lucila was very helpful and considerate. I appreciate the small group tour rather than go with large groups in big bus which would just carry you to regular tourist traps. Europe is best appreciated through intimate encounters.

We had a fantastic time! Roberto was so awesome as our guide - super-friendly and knowledgable, and Adam was a great driver. By the end of the day, it felt like we had been hanging out with friends all day. Pompeii is incredible, of course, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed seeing Naples as well. The lunch was a lot of fun, and we really had a great day. Highly recommended.

Trip was good, Pompeii was great. Enzo was awesome. Lunch at the farm was incredible, food and wine were both great, got wine to go and to ship home. Naples was interesting, but brief, didn't see any art or inside the buildings.

ALONG THE WAY.... THE GUIDE AT POMPEII WAS EXCELLENT AND WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE POMPEII IS.
IF YOU ARE IN ROME, YOU SHOULD BOOK A TRIP TO POMPEII.....NAPLES WAS OK. -
The driver Jean Lucas and the guide Roberto were friendly and knowledgeable. Pompei was fantastic and the lunch at the vineyard was excellent and interesting. The Naples stop was not really worth the stop. To the tour company I recommend another hour in Pompeii, lunch and winery tour and then head back to Rome...maybe drive along the coast
