With your guide, tour the revered estate’s buildings, vineyards and olive gardens. Learn about traditional and modern winemaking methods and step inside 3rd-century cellars filled with Acacia and French Oak barrels where the award-winning wines are aged.Your visit then culminates with a wine tasting, led by Pallavicini’s professional sommelier in a gorgeous 17th-century farmhouse in the center of the property. My favorite part of the tour was the Frascati Wine tour. Our guide was an irish girl with a degree in Italian studies. She was very thorough explaining history as we traveled to the winery and truly made the experience so enjoyable. The wine was delicious, the experience of exploring the vineyard, the aqueduct, and the countryside was quintessential Italy. I absolutely loved it. The Colosseum walking tour was given by a Roman woman with a very different perspective of history so that was funny. She was courteous, thoughtful, and very concerned for the welfare of her guests. I highly recommend this tour.

We were quite disappointed with the organisation of this joint tour. The morning was fantastic, Alejandro was a great tour guide, he was so knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. One piece of advice though, if you are going throughout the summer months, take enough water and a parasol/hat with you, it can get very hot especially in this part of Rome where there is little shade. The wine tour was unfortunately virtually non existent. The instructions on where to meet were unclear as these tours are booked with 2 different agencies and therefore there is no link between the 2 and once we found out where we had to meet which was too late by then, we found it that it was very far from the end point of the Colosseum walking tour. I don't see how you can have lunch at meet for the Frascati Wine Tasting Tour in such a short amount of time!! I'm sure the wine tasting tour would have been fantastic but I think completing both tours in one day is difficult due to the way it has been organised.

Suzanna provided an excellent tour of the Roman ruins that gave us a feel of life in Roman times. The wine tour with Ettore was just the right thing to do after walking among throngs of people all morning. I learned a lot about wine, enjoyed being in the country and loved the wines.

Claudia was our tour guide and made Rome come alive for us. Her knowledge of the history, the archelogy, and the preservation of the ancient ruins made this tour the highlight of our trip. It was our first tour of the vacation and set the bar high for the rest of our stay. Our wine tour was led by Mossimo and he was highly entertaining. We loved the whole day and the guides made the difference between mediocre and memorable.
