Home to some of the most influential pieces of Western artwork in the world, the sacred chapel is sure to be a highlight. Stand amid the hushed quiet — talking is forbidden — and gaze at Michelangelo’s frescoes of The Creation of Adam, which cloaks the ceiling, and The Last Judgement.
From the chapel, wander through to St Peters Basilica, the Vatican’s iconic late-Renaissance church. Hear more tales of Michelangelo as you view La Piet?, and admire Bernini’s bronze baldachin that frames the papal altar. Then, take a turn around St Peter’s Square to discover Bernini’s use of optical illusion at the colonnades.

Confirmation will be received at time of booking This ticket enables you to skip the long lines, which can take up to two hours, to enter the Vatican Museums. All visitors must pass through metal detectors at the security check point; expect to wait 20-30 minutes to clear security Tours departing Wednesday: there is the possibility that you will be unable to include St Peter's Basilica and St Peter's Square. This is due to the weekly Papal Audience during which access to St Peter's Basilica could be closed. As an alternative, you will be offered an extended itinerary within the Vatican Museums, which still includes the Sistine Chapel and Raphael's Rooms. If you would prefer a ticket with guaranteed access to St Peter's Basilica and the square, do not select Wednesday as your travel date On rare occasions, St Peter’s Basilica closes without notice. If this happens, the full 3-hour tour is spent inside the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Your guide will notify you if St Peter’s Basilica is unexpectedly closed upon commencement of the tour. No refunds or discounts will be issued Wheelchairs can be taken on this tour. If assistance is required, you must provide your own carer Backpacks, tripods and big umbrellas must be left inside a cloakroom on entering the Vatican Museums. What a fantastic tour with our wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly tour guide, Gabriel. I cannot recommend him enough. We have 4 people on the tour, and it made for a personal and intimate tour of a very busy place. Gabriel had very good English and answered all of our questions easily. The pace of our tour was perfect and we fully enjoyed our journey through the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's. Gabriel highly recommend that we walk to the top of St. Peter's and would highly recommend this do any able bodies. Our day with Gabriel was perfect. I cannot recommend this tour enough!

Our guide guide had amazing grasp of the art history of the Vatican Museum. We are able to learn many new things even though we have been to the Museum before. If you enjoy art history this is the tour for you!

Paola was our tour guide and she did a great job, especially telling us about the Sistine Chapel. She used excellent visuals for the main parts of the chapel and told us stories about each one, so when we entered the chapel, we knew so much about it!

After seeing the lines to get into the Vatican Museums, a skip-the-line tour is well worth it. The best part of our tour was our private guide. She was very knowledgable and engaged everyone in our family of six. She really helped us to understand the history and meaning of the artifacts, the gardens, the Sistene Chapel, and the Basilica.

This was a breath taking experience ! Francesca was our guide and my wife and i were the only people in her tour. We skipped the huge lines and went around the other tours easily. Francesca was extremely knowledgeable and shared her knowledge with us. Unfortunately, 2/3 through our tour she left us to get another tour. We were not happy at all but this and this is the first chance to post this comment as we just returned home last night. We kept up with her all the way, as we are not quite sure how were not afforded her guidance and knowledge on the remainder of our visit to the Vatican. We paid dearly for this tour and we certainly feel that we did not get the value for the money.
