Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Trevi Fountain, Rome, Lazio
The Trevi fountain is certainly the most scenic and the most famous of Rome's fountains and is the exhibition of the Acqua Vergine, the aqueduct that Marco Vipsanio Agrippa led to Rome in 19 BC. to feed his thermal baths.
Duration: 25 minutes
Stop At: Circus Maximus, Rome, Lazio
The Circus Maximus was destined for sports and athletic competitions of various types, it became famous above all for the chariot races. At peak times, it could accommodate from 250,000 to 300,000 with standing places. Recent excavations have brought to light finds that allow us to better delineate the ancient features of the circus, a myriad of small shops, stalls and taverns surrounded the racing area.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Pantheon, Rome, Lazio
Dedicated to the worship of all the gods (Pan-tutti Theon-divinity), the Pantheon was built by the emperor Hadrian between 118 and 125 d.c. on the remains of a previous temple of 27 BC of which it still bears the inscription and consecrated as a Christian church in 609 with the name of Santa Maria ad Martyres.
In 1870 it became the shrine of the kings of Italy, and welcomes the remains of Vittorio Emanuele II, Umberto I and Margherita di Savoia. The great Renaissance artist Raffaello Sanzio is also buried there.
Duration: 35 minutes
Stop At: Piazza Navona, Rome, Lazio
Piazza Navona, the most beautiful Baroque square in Rome, occupies the runway of the ancient "Stadio di Domiziano", or "Circus Agonalis", of which it has perfectly preserved the elongated rectangular shape of the arena, with one of the smaller sides (the northern one ) curved, while the surrounding buildings occupy the site of the tiers of the cavea.
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Bocca della Verita, Rome, Lazio
The Mouth of Truth and the legend of the woman and the lover
The large imperial round bar almost 2 meters in diameter was once used as a cloaca cover. Some think it is a manhole, others, given the size, the cover of a well. It has the features of a faun inspired by a river divinity, the God Portuno, to whom a temple was probably dedicated near the same cloaca. "

Our tour guide was entertaining and good at their job. They gave us lots of information and answered all questions. Food was delicious of course. Would recommend this tour to others.

I would not want to recommend this tour with Grey Line to anyone else. Poor guide, chaotic transport arrangements with another language group on the same coach. Poor meal which took far too long. We were told by the guide that the trip would finish at 10.30 p.m. and we would be taken back to our accommodation by 11 p.m. but at 10.30p.m. the tour was far from finished and guide had to organise taxis for at least 10 members of the tour to take them to their accommodation. We saw very little of Rome apart from the Trevi fountain and Colloseum as most of the time was walking from the coach to the poor restaurant.

Not worth it. Our guide had a terrible accent and we could not understand a word of what he was saying. We were taken to the worst possible restaurant in ROME. STAY AWAY!! VIATOR should disassociate from this tour operator.

What an amazing time we had and especially since this was our FIRST time in Rome and our first night on the town. The tour guide Alessandra was the BEST!!!! We absolutely loved her. She was the most welcoming and friendliest tour guide we have ever had. She made everyone on our bus feel welcome and appreciated. I wish we had more people in the U.S. like her. We enjoyed every minute. Her melodious voice was music to our ears as she navigated the streets of Rome and took us on tours of the city at night and highlighted all the major historic sites of the city that we shouldn't miss. The restaurant that was included in our booking was phenomenal. I have a new appreciation for Italian food. The pasta dish, fish dish and the dessert was excellente!!! What a fabulous time we had which was made even more great by our wonderful and delightful tour guide Alessandra!! I hope you have a chance to experience this wonderful tour with such a tour guide as we had that evening. thank you Carrani Tours and especially Alessandra!!!

The dinner was okay, not great. But the restaurant had a great atmosphere. The tour is very unorganized and very delayed in getting started.

We were picked up at our hotel around 6:45 pm. It took at least 30-40 minutes to begin the tour since we had to wait for everyone from different hotels to arrive. We finally began our night tour by walking through the narrow streets and then eating dinner at a local restaurant, which was a disappointment after seeing all the nicely decorated and outside seating area-type restaurants along the small narrow streets of Rome. The restaurant that was chosen was drab, lacking in any kind of atmosphere and basically a whole in the wall off the beaten track. The food wasnt very good either. We were initially a small group of about 6-7 people. Then, around 9:30 pm after dinner, we met up with about 15 others waiting for us outside. Apparently, this tour is offered with or without dinner, something we didn't know. We simply walked around a lot, went to the Trevi Fountain and the Coliseum exterior. We also walked around a dirty scary, party street scene area and then headed back to the bus. We were returned to our hotel around 11:00 pm.
I probably wouldn't recommend this tour. You're better off walking around and finding a nice restaurant with ambience and good food on your own. -
Meal was just OK, nothing to write home about. The tour itself leaves a lot to be desired. You walk to Trevi Fountain for 10min then hop on a bus and drive around to a couple of sites without getting off, so pictures are taken from inside which is not ideal and rushed. Easily best part of the tour walk walk around the Travestre area. Was expecting more for the price.

Tour guide very informative. The meal was very good.

The hotel pickup was about 30 minutes too early we had to sit and wait at the tour office until everyone else arrived and our hotel drop off was about a block and a half walk fairly late at night. Dinner was excellent and in a very neat restaurant with excellent service. The night tour was less than great, we drove by a lot of things, but only spent a few minutes at the Trevi fountain, didn't even see the Spanish steps or Pantheon were on the wrong side of the bus. We didn't enjoy the speed walk through the Trastevere area, it was a if you see something you will need to come back, the best part was one store we went into passed out samples and then we were expected to buy something. Dinner was the only redeeming quality of this tour.

Amazing tour of Rome by night! Get your cameras ready to take the most amazing pictures of Rome by night. I would rate this tour 10 stars but there is only 5. By the end of the night the group became a small family.
