We booked the tour that was scheduled for 2hrs 18 mins as we only had limited time in Rome. The tour was very informative but went on for well over 3.5 hours. At the end we did give our head sets back after seeing the Sistine chapel. It still wasn’t done at that point but we really didn’t want to be there any longer. I chose this tour because it was the shortest I could find which did disappoint us as we had other plans so we’re on a deadline.

This was the first tour that I had signed up for and had no idea what to expect. Our tour guide, Saverio, was amazing. He explained the whole process for us as a group to get into the museum, and throughout the tour he was informative, open to questions and kept the group together with a sense of humor. Next time I return to Rome I will be signing up for more tours

It was a great experience from beginning to end, I took one last year and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. They were very helpful and accommodating to reschedule this one as we had car troubles and could not make the scheduled time.
-
Excellent tour really enjoyed it, tour operators office was easy to find, our English speaking guide Roberto was fantastic, made it fun and got so much info from him. Recommend to anyone!
-
The directions for the meeting place requires a taxi. The group was oversized and made you worry you'd be separated. I recommend to spend the extra money on a small group tour. Our guide was informative but soft spoken. Make sure you are hooked into the right language group!
-
A great tour with lots of history but also great stories delivered in a fun way. Our 10 year old children loved it too.
-
The guide was very hard to understand. Just mumbled in a monotone. Didn't even show us the spiral staircase that is the picture for this tour. The tour took so long that by the time he was done, everything was closing up and we couldn't get back in to see things we really wanted to see. Should have just bought skip-the-line tickets to get in and looked at what we wanted to on our own.

Knowledgeable and caring guide.

Great tour. Our knowledgeable and expert guide made sure we got so much more out of the visit than if we had just gone on our own. He didn't talk about everything in the museum would have been impossible but talked about certain highlights, making sure we understood the main points. Really enjoyed it and skipping the line is worth every uro, anyway!

Our guide, Saverio, was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining, and we really enjoyed this tour with him. All the destinations were beautiful, and the history was fascinating. Saverio could answer any question in depth, and clearly had a passion for his work. He would get 5 stars on his own. Why only 4 for the tour, you might ask? Three and a half weren't an option, and three was too low. Here's why...
When we arrived at our meeting place and saw the lines of people waiting, we were SO glad we booked this tour! Maybe because it was such a busy day at the Vatican, we ended up waiting a long time to actually get started, though. We arrived to check in for our 9:30 tour to find out we'd been bumped to a 10:30 tour because they were so busy. At 10:30 we walked to the front where we waited another 30 minutes for our tickets to get in. Once inside we waited about 30 minutes for our headsets so the tour could start. I'm sure they were strategically spacing out the groups because it was so crowded, and it was completely beyond our tour guide's control, but what we expected to be a few hours ended up taking more than 5. Some in our group ended up having to leave early because they had other activities scheduled, and we ended up taking a cab across town and running the last half mile to get to our 2:45 tour at the Colosseum. In summary, it was worth it to skip the line, and we thoroughly enjoyed Severio, but don't go into this expecting to jump right to the front of the line and head inside. Plan on a lot of waiting before the tour actually gets started.
