Meet your gourmet guide in the heart of Rome to begin your Italian tasting experience. Arrive at Enoteca Cavour, a family-run enoteca offering prestigious wines, regional cheeses and delicious meats, this is the perfect location for your Rome wine- and cheese-tasting tour!
Enjoy a glass of local white wine paired with a slice of fresh Ricotta, followed by a traditional red wine accompanied by Roman coppiette (beef jerky) and porchetta, a slice of spicy pork stuffed with herbs. End your tour with another delicious white wine, which will go perfectly with a slice of Pecorino Romano, a salty, hard Italian cheese. While sipping and nibbling, your guide will introduce you to the world of Italian wines and artisan cheeses, and explain the differences between their colors, flavors and origins.

Absolutely fantastic experience bought by the kids for my husbands 50th Birthday celebration in Rome. Luca was the perfect host, and his knowledge of wine was excellent. Fantastic wine tasting in the heart of Rome!
We arrived half an hour late but our sommelier Luca was waiting for us in the restaurant still. The restaurant was cosy and accommodating for the tasting. Luca was very intuitive and helpful guiding us through each wine and pairing. Highly recommended! -

This is not just a Wine and Cheese tasting, it was a real education on how and why wines are paired. I learned a lot from Luca our sommelier on the DNA of grapes and how and why they interact to certain foods in different ways. I used to like to drink wine but now with the knowledge supplied by Luca I relay enjoy it at a totally new level.

What a great evening with fun people and a great host. Learned a lot about wine and cheese and and even some great tips on what to see and do. Especially nice was that there was no push or even an offer to purchase anything - this is NOT a wine-tasting where they are really just a front to sell you a bottle. The location is also close to the Colosseum and the Forum area so was nice to have an evening stroll after the event. A great relaxing evening I highly recommend.

We scheduled this event as a way to end start time is approx 6pm our day in Rome. Our local host for this event was Luca. He is very engaging and shared much about the wine industry in Italy as background for the wines/cheeses/meats that were used for the tasting. He did a great job of answering questions from our small group 6 total and used those to help us to better understand how pairing the correct wine and food together can enhance the enjoyment of both. You meet at a small restaurant/wine bar in the center section of Rome and the event lasts a little over a hour. Highly recommended for those open to learning more about Italian wine.
