    產品介紹

After pickup from select Cefalu hotels and locations by coach, relax on the scenic 1-hour drive along the Tyrrhenian coast to Monreale, on the slopes of Monte Caputo overlooking Palermo. Monreale was named for the once numerous citrus orchards that dotted the fertile La Conca d’Oro valley below.
Walk with your guide to Monreale Cathedral, considered one of the finest Norman constructions in the world, built as a royal complex in the 12th century. The exterior of the cathedral is rather unassuming, but step inside to be mesmerized by towering arches, glorious golden mosaics and famous artworks. Follow your cathedral tour with some free time to explore the town and enjoy views over the valley.
Hop on the coach for a quick drive to Palermo, situated in a wide Tyrrhenian bay at the foot of Monte Pellegrino. Enjoy a walking tour of Sicily’s capital, teeming with impressive art and ruins, Byzantine buildings and Baroque churches. Learn why there are so many Arab-Norman monuments scattered throughout the city, a legacy of both dynasties ruling in Palermo.
Visit Piazza Bellini to see La Martorana church, one of Palermo's most famous Norman churches with spectacular Byzantine mosaics inside. Pause for photos outside of Palermo Cathedral, with its elegant Arabic arches and blue-gray dome.
After some free time, continue to Teatro Massimo, the opera house, and then saunter through colorful Ballar□ Street Market or Mercato di Capo to browse heaving stalls of fresh food and Arabic handicrafts.
Then, enjoy some free time for lunch ─ choose from a variety of local restaurants and cafes to enjoy a traditional Sicilian meal (own expense).
In the afternoon, head to the fascinating Capuchin Catacombs of Palermo, built in the 16th century by Palermo’s Capuchin monastery. Originally intended as a burial crypt for monks, the catacombs became a status symbol for Sicilian society. Follow your guide through a spooky web of subterranean passages featuring some 8,000 mummified bodies still dressed in their absolute best.
Back above ground, hop in the coach for your return drive to Cefalu. Your tour concludes in the evening when you arrive back at the departure point.

This tour provided very good value and was well planned . The courier Carmen was exceptional particularly as she had to provide information in three languages . The only negative was a long walk back to where the coach was parked . If possible it would be better if the coach picked up the group at Palermo cathedral rather than the drop off point in Palermo

We did not have a very good experience on this tour at all. This company which is different to the Corleone tour had been trying to contact us by phone unlike Cassarta travel who emailed me through Viator. So in the end we called in their office and introduced ourselves only to be told by the girl on the desk that she had been trying to phone us on our home number in England. We updated her with our mobile number to contact us in Sicily which she checked and called. We then got the tour meeting places and times. What would have happened if we hadn't have gone in I don't know. However she did not update our details on the system, leaving the guide on this tour with only our home phone number! We thought we knew where to meet the tour as we left the guided tour, however due to very unclear instructions we weren't in the right place, the guide apparently was trying to contact us, unfortunately as she didn't have our mobile number to no avail. If she had had that number we could have got to them very easily and continued on the tour, but we waited as we thought they had our mobile, and in the end had to give up and catch the train home. I was very disappointed as I wanted to see the catacombs, it was the main reason I chose this tour. The guide from the company never gave a clear run down on what was going to happen on the day and seemed to leave it all to the guide we picked up in Palermo, who then had to say everything in 3 different languages which was not clear. I was very disappointed especially having had such a good experience from the other tour company. I feel that although the organisation of the tour itself wasn't great, our missing the last part of the tour could have been avoided if the girl had made sure our details were correct on the tour paperwork.

An interesting excursion to Palermo and Monreale. Monreale Cathedral is the highlight of this trip, but one also gets a good dose of the Palermitan streets, as most of the tour of Palermo is done on foot. Sometimes the hustle and bustle of the place can be a bit overwhelming, but tour guide Elizabeth did a very good job of explaining the sights in various languages in a non-stop commentary. The visit to the mummies at the Capuchin monastery is an unusual place to visit, but not for the faint-hearted.
