Stop At: Pompeii - Archaeological Area., Pompeii, Province of Naples, Campania
See Pompeii’s ancient piazza and Forum, where business dealings, elections, speeches and processions would have played out during Roman times. Wander the site, marvel at the ancient limestone columns still standing today and capture the centuries-old scenery on camera.
Continue onward with your guide to the thermal baths, where many of the townsfolk would have bathed, chatted and lived out their daily lives before the eruption. Wander down Via degli Augustali and discover the Lupanare, Pompeii’s brothel. A 2-storey building with five rooms on each floor, the Lupanare is decorated with some of the city’s most lustful frescoes.

Nice to be picked up from the hotel. Then interesting trip through Napoli to pick up more people. Good planning in Pompeii: acclimatization (30 minutes), guided walk (2 hours), gather before departure (10 minutes). Nice to have been brought back to Napoli.

Such a cool tour.Our tour guide was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and funny. It was a seamless pick up from the Naples Train station to the Pompeii sight. We did the half day tour and it was the perfect amount of time.

Thank you! Our 1/2 day tour was very organized and totally worth the low cost. A small shuttle picked us up in front of the hotel, on time and provided a safe transport to Pompeii. Our tour guide was very informative and funny. The event included the cost of the entry and a 2 hour plus tour of important history with current tidbits about Pompeii. The tour concluded with transportation back to our hotel. I’d recommend this to anyone visiting Naples and wants a stress free visit to Pompeii.

Over all it was a nice day in Pompeii. Once we arrived at the meeting point we waited for over half an hour because the bus was late/ people missing. Once we were on the road we reached the top of the mountain and meet another tour guide (that spoke English). When we were inside is when it started to get crazy. The tour guide when all over the place 100 miles an hour! There was no time to take pictures or to simply enjoy what there was to see. The tour giude did know a lot of historical information and was very kind! I just wished we had more time to see more of the village

This was my favorite of all the scheduled “informative” tours we took while in Italy. Our guide Maria spoke good English but I so appreciated her speaking slowly so we could understand through her lovely accent and the earpiece. Tip : consider brigibg your own to plug into the transmitter sets- might offer better sound. The day was HOT but Maria kept this tour going at a comfortable pace, doing a nice job describing a visual picture of what this once thriving city was like. She even drew references to modern day living and how the “ancient” folk had their own system of GPS and fast food. Even our teenagers remained engage for most of the time :)

The meeting location was easy to get to from the train station. However, the tour supplier could have done a much better job organizing things in advance. The bus ride to Pompeii provides enough time to give out the headsets and test them vs wasting your time in Pompeii. The tour was interesting but very crowded. Since it was the same tour company, they should have staggered times few minutes as to allow the people on the tours to see things without being rushed or unable to hear because of the other tour groups.

We did this tour in April. With such large numbers of tourists the company did a good job of organising us and were very helpful. Overall it is a professionally facilitated tour and you get the main headlines about Pompei in half a day as you walk around the city ruins. Dont expect customised service or time to reflect, ask questions or have personal interactions with the guide because they have a fixed formula and strict timetable to adhere too. Be prepared for crowds at every turn or go in a low season if there is such a season at all!.
