Leaving Milan, you arrive directly at the Cinque Terre and via a scenic route on the coast you reach Manarola. Here you'll have free time to venture around the vineyards, stroll the piers where fishing boats line the shore or watch the locals and the tourists jumping into the sea from the rocks of the harbour!

Stop At: Footpath Monterosso - Vernazza, Monterosso al Mare, Cinque Terre, Italian Riviera, Liguria
Right before lunch time you catch the train to Monterosso al Mare, the biggest of the five villages, where you will have time to explore and visit the beaches dotted along the coast. Despite the number of tourists, there is still a real sense of local identity even in the most tourist-crammed little ‘piazze'. Restaurants, bars and accommodation all have an endearingly homespun air about them as though when the locals saw tourists coming, they found a few garden chairs to stick on their terrace, hand painted a sign and began serving customers.

During your free time, if you wish, you will able to explore the beginning of some of the trails leading inside the Cinque Terre national park.
Pass By: Parco Naturale Regionale di Porto Venere, La Spezia, Province of La Spezia, Liguria
From Monterosso you will start the final leg of your journey, probably the most inspiring, a 90 minutes boat cruise. The perfect way to admire the stunning views of the Cinque Terre and the delightful village of Portovenere from the sea. After this memorable experience, you will arrive at La Spezia where your coach will be waiting to take you back to Milan.

Really great views, but travel time and group size take away from the experience. Takes a little over 3 hours, including a bathroom break, by bus to get there from Milan. There's also some delays since the tour group is so big, maybe around 50 people, in terms of making sure you have everyone at each stop and that everyone stays together. Once we got there the views were great, but you have a limited time. Maybe 45 minutes at the first town and 2 hours, including your lunch time, at the second town. In terms of our guides, they were great in organizing everyone as best they could. It's just difficult to keep 50 people together with two guides. The day ended up being nearly 14 hours. The tour ends up being 60 travel and 40 Cinque Terre, but that's just due to the distance from Milan.

Great excursion even though the water was too rough to take the boat ride. The guide new the area was very knowledgeable.

A bit rushed only due to seas being poor and subject to trains and schedules. Good full day and tour guide excellent. Amazing bus ride.

Loved this tour. You have walk a lot and take lots of trains and climb steps. Also went on one of the hottest days. Despite that it was absolutely lovely and really enjoyed the aspect of being able to sit back and enjoy someone else's organized tour. Always book with Viator and love their tours!

A long day from Milan however tour is well paced. Some of the towns are looking a little tired, I enjoyed the tour however I have seen other destinations in Italy which have more appeal, including the Amalfie Coast.

Not very organized and walked too fast for the majority of travelers.
Not very informative and on boat and train stops no information offered.
