Depart from central Milan and travel by air-conditioned coach to Lugano, a prosperous and glamorous lakeside city often referred to as the 'Monte Carlo of Switzerland.' During the 1.5-hour journey, get the background on Lugano from your savvy guide.On arrival, get familiar with the Italian-speaking Swiss city as your guide shows you around its most elegant and popular spots. Head to the twisted lanes of the pedestrianized center. See where the well-heeled locals come to splash their cash at the sophisticated shopping street of Via Nassa and at the shoreside Casin□ Lugano. Continue on to the green lawns of the Ciani Park, which are decorated with exotic trees and flowers, as well as various sculptures and fountains.Experience the quintessential Alpine scenery ─ soaring mountain peaks, green meadows and glistening blue water ─ on a 1-hour cruise on the shimmering Lake Lugano. Disembark from the boat and take some free time for lunch (own expense).After eating, meet back up with your guide and ride the La Freccia Rossa sightseeing train, which will carry you along the water's edge and over to the foot of the lushly forested Mt San Salvatore. From here, be whisked up to the summit by a funicular for sensational panoramic views.Come afternoon, enjoy an hour of free time to do as you please. Wonderful Tour!!! Guide could use a bit more of organization but was very informative. The driver was excellent. Lugano is just drop dead STUNNING!!!

My family and i enjoyed this trip to lugano, the views from the boat cruise and on top of mount san salvatore was just AWE-MAZING!!!!

Basically you paid for a coach ride to Lugano , a public ferry ticket that goes round a small section of the lake, a funicular ride and plenty of free time in a very small Lugano shopping center.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and active but there is only so much she can do. -
Lugano Switzerland is beautiful!!!! Simple, elegant and peaceful place! We highly recommend the tour it has a boat cruise around the lake and funicular ride to see Lugano above 3000 in 360 degree angle, gorgeous... God's beauty! Our tour guide Franco was superb!
