Visit the expo first or take your hop-on hop-off tour? The order you do it is up to you. Your hop-on hop-off tour ticket is valid for 48 hours after first use, meaning you can use it as much as you want during that time frame.Milan Expo 2015:Choose from one of three start times, and then hop aboard the expo shuttle bus in central Milan. Audio commentary plays on board, offering a lowdown on the expo’s theme and attractions. On arrival, head straight inside to explore the so-called ‘world fair’ at your own pace.Taking the theme of ‘Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life,’ the Milan Expo 2015 explores the future of food for our world. Wander amid the expo’s different zones, seeing gardens, squares and pavilions build with the efforts of some 140 countries. Together, the features explore everything from our relationship with food to the planet’s ecosystems.Opportunities to try dishes and take part in multisensory experiences are the order of the game at this expo, and with markets, cooking demonstrations, children’s play areas and firework shows, there is plenty to keep all the family occupied. When you have had your fill of fun, simply catch the shuttle bus back to the start point.Milan Hop-On Hop-Off Tour:Use your ticket on three different lines to explore the city and see its world-class sites from an open-air double-decker bus. Hop on and off wherever and whenever you like, or maybe stay on board for a full loop to get your bearings in the city. Entrance fees to all attractions are at your own expense.Take Line A for a look at the sights of classic Milan; Castello Sforzesco, La Scala opera house and Milan Duomo are all on route. If you want to see the historical Porta Venezia gate and the glitzy skyscrapers of Palazzo Lombardia, ride through town on a Line B bus. Or perhaps take Line C for a spot of shopping on the ever-fashionable Via Montenapoleone. All three routes interconnect, making it easy to swap between lines.
