The Volterra tour is a very magic and special experience. Volterra was the capital of Etrucan empire but also very important at the Roman time and in the Middle Age. Here you can admire the Roman Theatre, the Etruscan gates, the Medici Fortress, the beautiful Cathedral of S. Maria Assunta and the unique Bishop’s palace.
Visiting the centre you will assist at the works in an alabaster laboratory, where you can see many beautiful art crafts made in special chalk-stone. The centre of Volterra is rich of many important remains, like the wonderful Roman amphitheatre and the Etruscan gates of the ancient wall of the town.
The tour will continue with a panoramic stop in the hills around Volterra to visit the open-air amphitheatre created by Andrea Bocelli, famous and appreciated Italian tenor, the “Teatro del Silenzio”. At the end you'll have a nice wine tasting in a local and traditional winery.行程概要出發地點
