This is the perfect tour for those that are looking for a real relaxed Tuscan experience. This half-day trip will immerse you in the beautiful Tuscan hills where you will get to know some of the producers of traditional Tuscan winery. You will visit a winery where you will taste locals product like extra virgin olive oil, red, white and sweet wine.
10am - pick up at your Hotel (if selected) and drive in direction of the countryside.
10:30am about visit the winery in the countryside. The winery is an organic family-run winery where you can see men and women working together to produce a great wine. You can taste a bit of their work and find out how hard it is to tend the land and have a great product. After the visit of the winery and the vineyards (weather permitting) you will take relax of tasting wine
12:30pm about, we will move in order to reach a village

Everything was lovely. We were picked up right on time. The guide/driver, Emmy, was very good and full of information. The winery tour was interesting and as noted in other reviews, the food and wine pairings were very tasty.

This tour were so nice. Our gude Adriano showed us a great vineyard in Monte- carlo district. The vine tasting and the guided tour around and inside the farm was just amasing. We will recomand this tour to all vine lovers..

This tour was fantastic. This is a very fun tour and our guide Em was a great. We love to laugh and she did not disappoint. We toured a medieval town and the winery (fattoria). The wine tasting was pared perfectly with a little bit of food. The food really made the flavor come out. I would recommend this tour.

We really loved the 1/2 day wine tour. Our guide was very nice and the food and wine pairings were a real hit with our party. They only thing of concern is the description on the Viator website indicated that we were going to 2 wineries, one a smaller family site and the other a larger winery. We only visited the one family winery.

We have a wonderfull trip whit Emeli.
But.........
I think the company was verry messy. we order a after noon tripp and get it confirmed.
One day befor the trip I get a new mail that mention we have our trip in the morning.........
Emeli manage to bust us whit a lot of information about Montecarlo and the vineyard.
Thanks to Emeli the trip was realy good.

Tour was incredible, the food and wine pairings and our guide of the vineyard Massimo was wonderful. Our guide Amelia was very informative and made us feel like VIP clients. We would all highly recommend this tour.

We joined the 10 a.m. tour from Lucca with a group of English speaking travelers from many countries. We started with a short tour of the hilltop village of Montecarlo, then proceeded to a small winery close to the town. Emilia was an excellent and engaging guide, providing interesting and helpful information on a range of topics. The winery tour was especially good. We saw the barrels in which the wine is aged, then sat down to a tasting of two whites, two reds, a sparkling, and vin santo. The tasting was paired with a chef-made lunch that included locally made honey for dipping pecorino, polenta squares with gorgonzola cheese and mushrooms, crostini with raw zucchini pesto and liver p t□, panzanella, and caprese spears. And the winery also grows olives and makes a delicious, spicy olive oil that was available at the tasting. The tour lasted closer to five hours than four, and by the end all of the travelers felt like friends. We highly recommend this tour for anyone spending time in Lucca and looking for a way to see a bit of the Tuscan countryside.

A wonderful afternoon from Lucca on a small van with guide Amelia. The first winery was called Podere Spazzavento, a family run place. The owner gave us a wonderful tour of the vineyard and processing. We tasted six delicious wines, each of which we loved. We bought two bottles to take to our cruise ship. The second winery was more corporate and we tasted two red wines. We preferred the first, family run winery. The drive was about an hour and once we got into Chianti region it was truly scenic, with hills and small towns. Amelia was wonderful, friendly, and cheerful. Well worth it.
