Enter the "calli”, discover small and green gardens behind ancient grates, and be enwrapped by the magic of lightness and colors of blown glass created by master glassmakers. Discover a unique city in the world, built between the coast and open sea on an archipelago of 120 islands linked by 350 bridges. Discover the millenary history in which east and west interweave giving life to a refined and charming culture. It is a city of invaluable artistic patrimony, declared "heritage of humanity" by UNESCO. Venice is all this and much more and is waiting to offer you an unforgettable experience, beginning with meeting up with a local Guide who will reveal its treasures to you. Meet your private driver at your hotel and, upon your arrival in Venice, your private guide is pleased to lead you on an unforgettable walking tour! Through the characteristic "calli", you will enter the ancient districts "sestieri" in Santa Croce and San Polo where the salt flats of the ancient and powerful Republic of Venice are located. You will then proceed to the Rialto area, the first settlement of the village, with its characteristic fish and vegetable market, the Church of San Giacomo, the oldest of Venice, the famous Rialto bridge, the oldest of the four bridges crossing the spectacular Grand Canal. Crossing this wonderful bridge you r private guide will be glad to escort you to the district of San Marco that is the centre of trade and culture of the city. The heart of this district is the splendid and magnificent Piazza San Marco, the "most elegant lounge in Europe", overlooking the most famous monuments of Venice: the splendid Byzantine Basilica with four portals and wonderful golden mosaics, to be viewed inside, the Renaissance Clock Tower and the masterpiece of the Gothic Palazzo Ducale. Behind the Palazzo Ducale, from the Ponte di Paglia you can admire the famous Bridge of Sighs that used to be crossed by the condemned people before entering prison, hence the name. After the end of the private guided tour, you can find dozens of typical or elegant restaurants in the area around the square where you can taste the excellent Venetian cuisine.
In the afternoon, you will have free time to enjoy a romantic tour in one of the famous "gondolas", get to know the city better or dedicate some time to shopping and discovering the valuable crafts of the lagoon islands: the Murano blown glass and the Burano lace.
Before leaving, you can stop at one of the famous historical caf□s of Piazza San Marco and enjoy an authentic Venetian style pleasure.

Don't spend the extra money and hire a private car. Our driver didn't say anything at all on the ride coming or going. I was really thinking he would give us some kind of information on the area we were passing through. The guide Ornellia? was very good. She did give us all of the highlights in the two hour walking tour. Next time I'd take the train from Florence and hire a private guide on my own.

Venice was beautiful! However the weather was not!
Our driver that drove us to Venice and back to Florence was amazing!!
He had to drive us in the pouring rain, lightning and thunderstorms-
and he did a great job - we always felt safe with his driving.
Our guide in Venice was very knowledgeable - but the tour felt very rushed.
We would love to be able to visit Venice on a beautiful, sunny day! -
The tour was a bit challenging. The crowds, of course not the tours fault, where just over whelming and I'm not sure it's a good idea to leave the clients in a piazza there and not bring them back to the starting point. Betweeen the very small alleys and the massive crowds we had a hard time finding our way back to our driver. then to add to the mess a down pour of a thunderstorm.
But all in all we enjoyed our tour -
Although it was brutally hot, this was a fabulous tour because of a wonderful driver Carlo and an amazingly knowledgeable guide Mila who efficiently navigated all seven of us through the several districts of Venice despite the crowds and the heat. She even recommended a fabulous place for lunch. This was the magical tour of Venice cue music!.

The private transfer was simply worth it and our driver Luca was amazing. We had a local guide in Venice she was nice but quite boring overall. We had a great lunch recommendation from the local guide.

Santi was a wonderful tour guide! We really enjoyed our day. We arrived a bit early in Rome and he was willing to begin our tour early. He was full of interesting information and recommended a good restaurant as well.

I really thought before I booked this tour due to the cost. But I have to tell you it was well worth it. Our driver picked us up at the hotel. As we drove through the country side he told us about the various towns we were passing by. I loved the folklore stories he told. The car was awesome. He was willing to stop as needed along the way. I liked the convenience of having the driver pick us up and drop us off at the hotel and not hassle with a train. Once we got to Venice, our guide meet the two of us. She walked us through the islands making up Venice. She was very good, in not just dwelling on history, but telling us the personality of Venice. When I booked the tour I mentioned that my 25 year old son was traveling with me and I wanted to make sure the sights and tour was geared to entertain him also. He raved about the tour, the driver and the guide. We had plenty of time to walk around following the tour. I would book this again.

Our private tour to Venice was nice, weather didn't cooperate, rained the whole day. Our driver was okay, he was a little irrated that he couldn't locate our Villa, didn't talk at all during our drive there or back. Our tour guide was excellent once we arrived in Venice, she knew so much, one thing I wish she would have had was the "whisper" devices to hear. With the rain and people you had to be right by her to hear her.

The private driver was incredible-- we had no complains whatsoever with him and would give him 5-stars. The tour guide walked us from one side of Venice to the other side, adding a few facts along the way. It was extremely boring for my children who are 12 and 14. We did not stop and everytime we asked about going to see a site she said it was a fee. After 90-minutes she ended the tour and said goodbye. We had to find a restaurant on our own and contact our driver so he could pick us up. This was our most expensive tour and was such a disappointment. We rode 3-hours to have a 90-minute walk and did not see the inside of any building or museums. Very boring and disappointing knowing we spent so much on this tour. Would never recommend to anyone. We should have taken the train to Venice and then found a well organized tour.

Ok day, driver was nice and tour guide was nice. It flooded on the day we went to Venice which was annoying and it rained alot of the day. Took 3 hrs via car, realise now it would have been better to just catch the train as the train takes 1.5 hrs. Tour guide showed us around for 2 hrs, properly didn't really need a guide. Venice was nice but the weather when we went was really bad. Too expensive for 2 ppl, would properly recommend for 6 ppl but if there's only two of you I would just catch a train, the train station was across the road from where our driver dropped us off and you could spend much more time there instead of wasting it on travelling. If you are thinking of booking a gondola, do it there it's much cheaper and there are plenty of gondola companies.
