Fiat 500s were introduced to the Italian masses at the end of the 1950s, and quickly became the nation's favorite little car. Eye-catching and stylishly retro, the earliest Fiat 500 models remain the most sought-after vintage cars in Italy today, and you’ll experience their nostalgic glory on your 5-hour tour.
After meeting your expert guide at a private garage in Florence, you’ll be introduced to your meticulously restored 1960s Fiat 500 and given a comprehensive safety briefing. You will have a practice session to get used to the car’s manual gears. If you’re the nominated driver in your group, you must be confident using them.
Leave Florence behind and head to the hills in a convoy following your guide. As you drive along secluded roads with little traffic, your guide will keep you entertained with fascinating facts about the region and its world-famous wines.
After two hours of leisurely driving through Tuscan and Chianti landscape, you’ll arrive at your destination -- a beautiful 15th-century Renaissance villa and wine estate, tucked into the hills. This was so much fun! Our car "Olivia" did a great job allowing us to drive the countryside without any problems. Our guide Mattia was great, from giving us pointers on how to drive the vintage Fiats, stopping for photo ops, to a wonderful wine tasting lunch at a stunning villa. His happy attitude and engaging personality made us enjoy the day and laugh through lunch. We highly recommend this tour! Thank you!

We had a wonderful time on this tour. The Tuscany region is so beautiful and worth the money. Our tour guide, Julia gave us a wonderful time and a memorable experience. I did this tour off of a cruise ship and got back to port on time to get on the ship. The time was very tight but she helped to have us a taxi waiting to get back to the train station. I would highly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing time in our 500 fiat tour thanks to our guide Mathias. He made sure we were all safe and fully enjoyed the experience. He gave us a quick lesson on how to drive the vintage fiats and then took us all around the beautiful roads to enjoy the scenery. Then proceeded to the wine tasting which was excellent. When in Florence you must do this tour. I would highly recommend it and ask for Mathias to be your guide, and you are guaranteed an excellent time. Thank you Mathias.

While visiting Florence, we looked into renting a vehicle and came across the self-driving vintage fiat tour. Are we ever glad we did! Our guide, Matt, was fantastic!! We had two stops prior to visiting the winery for lunch and wine tasting. Matt took the time to explain the Tuscany region and also took pics for us. The little convertible Fiat was so much fun!! The contryside was amazing!! The wine tasting was a great experience and the charcuterie trays were more food than we could consume. It was the highlight of our entire trip!! You must do this tour...you’ll be glad you did!!

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip! Our tour guide Chris was great, he really is a credit to the company. Food and wine brilliant and of course, the tuscan countryside - stunning!

This was my favorite tour of our entire trip! Matthias was a fantastic guide and was very funny and friendly. I felt like we had made a great friend by the time it was over. While driving the cars was so fun, the highlight was the lunch and wine tasting in the wine cellar. I love that we were able to get off the beaten path and see a side of Tuscany that is truly a hidden gem. We got to learn about the culture in a way you just don't get from tourist traps. I look forward to coming back to Tuscany and hopefully booking my stay at the vineyard. The wine was incredible and I can't wait to relive this trip with the wine I purchased as a souvenir. Highly recommend!

This was super fun and a total recommend. I signed up for the Fiat driving though after doing a test run I wasn't 100 in my ability to drive a stick and honestly, enjoy wine tasting!. Since I was the only one that day I went with the guide and had a great time. Learned new things about the chianti region and went to the cutest little local market for food and wine. They were totally accommodating to my diet restrictions can't have gluten, ugh, and it was delicious. I have several friends that have also done this and loved - it's a must!

Friends had recommended this tour to us prior to arriving in Firenze. There were two options, but we decided to drive the Fiat 500s. These were extremely old cars - as informed by the tour guides. The Tour Guides also told us that many people - mostly tourists - drive these cars, with many tours departing daily, and many people do not know how to operate shift. My boyfriend has driven stick before had a stick drive car previously so we did not foresee any problems. Toward the end of the tour, something with the engine broke and we were charged 600 for the fix. There was no investigation of what went wrong with the engine or if it was truly our fault. Our card was immediately charged and that was it.
While our tour guides were truly fantastic, I would NOT ever recommend this tourist excursion to anyone as the liability is too high. The cars are old and constantly driven by people who do not know how to operate shift. The entire time the tour guide was raving about how well our whole group was doing and then we still get charged 600. It put a huge damper on the trip and it felt as if we were just unlucky that the car broke with us, when it could have been anyone.
Definitely not worth the risk. I would recommend looking at other tours.

Mattia was our guide and he was the absolute best! This excursion was the highlight of our 2-week Italy trip because of him. He was very thorough in communicating driving instructions for Fernando, and he was so nice! Extremely friendly, funny, patient and kind. We felt like we made a true friend that day. Thank you Mattia for making our first Italy trip so memorable! We can't wait to return and do this again in the summertime!
