Confirmation will be received at time of booking Children must be accompanied by an adult. The Optional leaning tower is not suitable for children under 12 years old. Customers must be able to climb and descend stairs, a moderate amount of walking is involved. A dress code is required to enter the Cathedral of Pisa. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed, you may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements. Please note that on Bank Holidays the Cathedral may be closed to public - you will get a deeper and longer explanation of the Square instead. A good comfortable tour from Florence to Pisa. Nicely spaced out tour of the Leaning Tower, Baptistery, Cathedral and Cemetery. Tour guide Enrica was very polite.

Trip to Pisa - 25/12 -
The guide was really nice, but it was a pity that the radios did not work. It would be way more convenient for everyone to have the radios. Also there was nothing said about Pinocchio, though you can see him in souvenir shops everywhere.
The tour itself is basically bringing you to Pisa, giving minimum information and then providing you free time. For me it was nice, because I was too lazy to look for trains, read anything about museums and places there.. So the tour was really helpful for me, but it is absolutely manageable of going to Pisa and basically doing the same thing by yourself.
Though to my mind Pisa is really like a town for only 3 hours visit. -
We originally booked only the tour through Viator and my husband wanted to climb Pisa. So I emailed the tour company MY TOUR SRL directly and the email response was quick. I was able to add on the climb through the website but somehow date became incorrect so I had to email the company again. She fixed the error and sent me a correct confirmation per my request. Luckily I had the correct confirmation of the climb date because the day of, the guide had my husband on her list as doing the climb on the original incorrect date. I showed her my confirmation letter and everything was corrected. The meeting place was easy to find and the bus ride was comfortable. Pisa is beautiful. The information she gave us was pretty interesting. We had a decent amount of free time for us to wander on our own as well which was nice. Our kids really enjoyed it.

As with most other tours, the actual tour is not managed by Viator but by another tour agency. Let me relate my experience. We met at the designated place on top and after verifying our tickets, the guide took us to the bus waiting area to board our bus to Pisa. There we were made to wait in another line where there were tours going to all other places. As we waited in line, the guy at the counter shouted for Pisa, Pisa and we continued to wait in line assuming this was the line for Pisa. We had no inkling that our tour had been handed to another agent who was handling multiple tours. When we got to the counter, we were told that the bus to Pisa had left. What was more astonishing was the attitude the staff took, which was essentially along the lines of I cant do anything about this now
We asked for the contact number of the tour guide, a kind soul by the name of Jenny. And we made our way to Pisa there ourselves. On getting to Pisa, we called Jenny and she told us how we could join the tour. The tour itself was well - organised leaving more than enough time for photo taking as well as a segment of guided tour.
Jenny was an external tour guide but the whole management of the tour was a shame.

Pisa was crowded with tons of tourists and we had a bit too much free time to explore the place since we didn't buy the entrance to the leaning tower of Pisa. But it was convenient and the guide explained the insides of the cathedral as well as the area around the leaning tower in detail :

This was just enough time in Pisa to see the famous tower and the other buildings.

Whilst our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about Pisa and conveyed her knowledge in an easily understandable manner, there were aspects that were not as good.
The group was too large and accordingly needed too much attention from our guide and her associate to keep pointed in the right direction. The experience was not as enjoyable as others we have done with competitors of Viator. -
