Make your own way to the Uffizi Gallery in central Florence and meet your art-expert guide. Then, with your skip-the-line ticket, bypass the long main entrance lines and walk straight inside.
One of the world’s oldest art museums, the Uffizi was built by architect Giorgio Vasari in the 16th century to house government offices. It was only later that the building was used to showcase art collected by Florence’s ruling Medici family, and not until 1769 that it was turned into a public museum.
The repository of more 1,500 works dating from Greek times to the 18th century, the core of the Uffizi is its unmissable collection of Renaissance art. Your tour concentrates on these, as your guide leads you around the highlights of the Renaissance rooms, home to great works by Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and others.
Enter the spectacular Botticelli Room and wonder at his The Birth of Venus and Primavera as your guide explains their composition and meaning, and the nature of Botticelli’s genius. Then, continue to see masterpieces such as da Vinci’s breathtaking Annunciation, Michelangelo’s Doni Tondo and works by Rafael.

During your tour, pay a visit to the Uffizi's rooftop terrace and soak up its gorgeous views of the Arno River, Ponte Vecchio bridge and Piazza degli Uffizi, the museum’s statue-lined inner courtyard.

The artwork was amazing. Stefano knew his history well and was very informative and interesting.
The only downside was the inadequate meeting information given by the company at the time of booking, but this was no reflection on Stefano or how he ran the tour. -
the guide showed an excellent historical knowledge, was also very cordial and attentive to the questions of tourists.

Our guide, William, was incredible. In fact, had we not waited so long in our trip to book this tour, we would have hired him for a private tour. He has SO much knowledge to share and he is SO excited about doing so. The Uffizi is absolutely daunting in size we had no perspective for Renaissance art. William taught us not only about the art but also the political context in which the Renaissance was born. Obviously, we saw the big works of art like The Birth of Venus, but William also showed us the evolution of the Renaissance art and how artists were able to take flat paintings to new dimensions with color. It is a great introduction to the museum, the time period, and the art. If you decide not to do a tour, buy your tickets in advance or have your concierge reserve them. Dont spend all day in line. Seriously. Skip the line. Its totally a thing.

3-stars made up of : 5 stars for our guide Chris 0 stars for the faulty equipment provided by the tour company, who should know better!!!
Our guide for this tour, Chris, was extremely knowledgeable and patient. However, from the moment we began, the earpieces were faulty. Chris tried every possible solution until we finally abandoned them. Thankfully, we were a small group so we stayed together and were able to hear over the crowds. The skip-the-line feature wasas alwaysworth the price.
Once inside, Chris focused on a few of the most well known paintings, pointing out fascinating details. His knowledge of the Medici family and the architecture of the building was excellent. The tour lasted 2 hours and at the conclusion, Chris encouraged us to stay and suggested how we could maximize our time. A good tour to see a few of the highlights of the Uffizi.
We enjoyed this tour but urge the organizers to ensure their earpieces actually work!

Was easy to locate the tour group and organized to get going. We had a small group which was nice and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and appreciated her sense of humour as well. Had to wait in line for a bit but got in much faster than if we had waited in the general entrance. The tour was a good length of time to go through the galley and learn about the key pieces. Appreciated that it ended within the gallery so we could spend our own time browsing inside.

Angelo A was so interesting to listen to and taught me a lot about renaissance art. He really cares for his group and explains everything and answers all questions with enthusiasm. Awesome tour! Im so happy I have done this.

This guided tour was one of the best decisions we made on our trip to Florence. The gallery is enormous and there is so many people visiting, that to be able to navigate ourselves would have been overwhelming. Our guide was so knowledgeable and organised us to see a really excellent broad overview and gave us some very interesting information along the way. The best way to visit the Uffizi we thought.

We booked this tour, partly so we could skip the line as there is no low season here! I'm glad we did. Getting checked off with my ticket on my mobile phone was great, as it is impossible to find anywhere to print out tickets in Florence. Once the group was sorted with radios and earphones our guide sorry I can't remember her name quickly led us to the entry and we were through into the museum in about 10 minutes.
Once in our guide was fantastic, she was very enthusiastic and obviously loves her job! She gave us a fantastic background into the most important and famous pieces in the museum, guiding us through a lot easier than if we were to try to find things on our own. It was great to hear not just about the art work but also how everything, including the building relates to the history of Florence. At the end of the tour you can wander back through for as long as you want. We loved it!!
