Start the most complete and thrilling guided walking tour: you will visit the lively Central market zone, characterized by its workshops and multicolored stalls, where the Medici Chapels, and Basilica di S. Lorenzo, the church of Medici’s Family, are located.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Piazza del Duomo, Florence, Tuscany
In a short time, you can reach Piazza del Duomo, where you can admire the Cathedral and its Dome by Brunelleschi, Giotto’s Bell Tower and Saint John’s Baptistery with its Gates of Paradise.

The private tour continues then, by visiting the medieval quarters where Dante Alighieri and Beatrice lived. Further on you can find the Palazzo del Bargello and a few steps away, you will reach Piazza della Signoria, a great “open-air sculpture museum”, overlooked by the imposing Palazzo Vecchio.

We were on our 5th trip to Florence and learned more from Ilaria in just a few hours than all previous trips combined. Best walking tour in Florence is with Ilaria Lucaccioni. She was extremely knowledgeable on both historical and political info as she was on artistic and architectural information. It was thoroughly enjoyed by the entire group. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Florence

Excellent tour!!! Enough cultural information for the short trip. I would advise choosing a smaller group tour if possible. Guide was fun.

We were met by the guide, Valentina, outside our centrally-located apartment. She was very friendly and down-to-earth. We began by casually strolling through the streets and some famous plazas, and Valentina casually discussed architecture and history. She touched on topics like the Medici family, the importance of the religious structures, and the various pre- and post-Renaissance art styles and techniques.
Overall, it felt like having a good friend who was a local give us a tour of her city which for us was perfect. Valentina was definitely highly expert as sometimes she went into details which, frankly, went a little over our heads but she always made sure to ask us if we could relate or understand what she talked about before continuing. We learned a lot from her, and even stopped by a cafe for a quick coffee during the tour. She was also kind to recommend some restaurants and gelato, and extend her contact information should we have and questions or need any help for the remainder of our time in Firezne.

Great tour made that much better by Gabrielour guidewho added to the experience by giving us lots of info about the things we were seeing but in a relaxed and non hurried way.

Gabriel was a great tour guide. We had only a few hours in Florence and he packed lots into our 3 hour tour. Not only was he knowledgeable about Florence, everyone seemed to know him - obviously a fixture in the town. Our goal was to see as much of Florence as we could in 3 hours and Gabriel really delivered.

We had just arrived in Florence and this quick tour 2 1/2 hours was perfect to get a lay of the land in anticipation of our four-day visit. Our guide, Caterina, was extremely knowledgeable and charming. Since it was just the four of us, she quickly ascertained the group's interest history and food and tailored the highlights so even our 18-year-old was engaged. An added benefit -- we were staying in Oltrarno and our tour started and ended there. She took time to show us the neighborhood's highlights many -- especially for young adults, where to shop and best trattorias. As we discovered in the days to come, she was on the money every time!
