產品介紹
Meet your guide at the cruise port of Bari and depart for a 50-minute drive through the south inland to Alberobello. Along the way you will pass by Trulli houses, with their unique design. In Alberobello the guide will lead you in a walking tour to get to know the small village and the enchanting Trulli with their whitewashed walls and grey pointed roofs, which are the unmistakable symbol of this village.
Learn about the origins of the medieval name 'Alberobello' and the history of these spectacular examples of vernacular architecture. The “Trulli”, limestone dwellings found in the southern region of Puglia are remarkable examples of drywall (mortar less) construction, a prehistoric building technique still in use in this region. The Trulli are still occupied and, together with the fact that this one of the best preserved and most homogeneous urban areas of this type in Europe, make it unique. It also represents a remarkable survival of prehistoric building techniques.
Before returning to Bari you will have some free time to explore on your own or find the best places to shop with your guide.
