After your guided tour, your guide will provide you with the tickets for the magnificent night fountain show. Before the show, take your time and explore the Versailles Palace independently or visit the city of Versailles with its wide boulevards, antique shops and fabulous boutiques. Enjoy an authentic French dinner (own expense) at any of the outstanding restaurants.
Then, return to the Versailles Gardens to enjoy a spectacular display of fountains exploding in synchronization. Wander independently through the expansive gardens as a symphony of light, music and water transforms the gardens into a fairy-tale wonderland. Thousands of lights will illuminate the fountains and flood the gardens with a romantic light, with classical music playing in the background. More aptly called merge into the line from the side. It did save time though. You must go to the Paris City Vision office located at the corner of the Louvre to exchange your voucher for tickets. Couldn't do that until 10:00 am the day of your visit. We had a group of 17 and I was able to pickup all the tickets by myself.

We had a tour of the palace, then some time to have dinner in the City of Versailles, and then went back to the Palace Garden for the Musical Fountains show and Fireworks. There is a lot of walking so save your energy.
The RER C is an easy way to go / return. -
The tour was very good. We were staying opposite the Palace but still had to walk to the tour office and then straight back again. It would be nice if the meeting place was near the Palace, or at least allow people to meet there. Unfortunately for us it rained a lot of the time, even during the fireworks but we stayed till the end. The tour guide was ok but we have had better.

Absolutely spectacular. Also really busy! So many people there it is hard to move around at times but well worth it!

The Night Fountain Show is not to be missed!

Lovely place, crowded sites, Saturday night grounds access wonderful. People should have been advised about closures in the metro line which then caught some people off guard.

We had a wonderful time. We missed the meeting place. When we called they were happy to arrange a meetup at the palace. Our guide got us right in and found the best spots inside to tell us anout each room. She was delightful and knowledgeable.

Don't waste your money! We showed up 5 minutes late due to RER closures and the tour had already left without us. Which wasn't a huge deal, we got our tickets and did it ourselves. To start off the Palace closes at 6 so you only have a 90 minute tour of the grounds and then you have to leave at 6 and go back at 8 for the fireworks. Save yourself the money and just purchase the tickets online and go in the morning and do it all yourself. You get a free audio guide too.

Clothilde was an excellent guide...she was humorous, knowledgeable, fiercely protective of the group's space to ensure all of us had good views of the exhibits. The tour is a bit short as it does not cover the Queen's apartment and Trianon. The group size was at the maximum 30 people but Clothilde ensured that all questions were answered.
