Your afternoon wine tour departs from central Toulouse, near Place du Pr□sident Wilson. Aboard an air-conditioned minivan, relax on the 30-minute drive north to the Fronton wine appellation.
Fronton is one of France’s oldest wine regions; vineyards were first planted here by the Romans. Centuries ago, the noble knights made Fronton their wine of choice, and today the distinctive wine from the region still delights wine lovers with complex, fruity flavors and velvety tannins.
Visit Maison des Vins de Fronton, and meet the owner for an overview of Fronton winemaking. C tes du Frontonnais wine is made primarily with n□grette grapes, a native variety not grown anywhere else in the world. Sample three different glasses of wine, each selected from exceptional local vineyards. Follow your tasting session with a stroll around the gardens.
Your next stop will be at a winery that is an ambassador for the n□grette grape variety and whose beautiful vineyards lie on the highest terrace of the Tarn Valley. Here, you’ll be greeted by the passionate winemaker for another informative tasting session. Learn about the winery’s traditional, environmentally friendly approach to viticulture, and taste a selection their finest wines.
After a wonderful afternoon among the vines, head back to Toulouse. Your guide will be happy to offer recommendations on great local restaurants and wine bars for a night on the town.行程概要出發地點
