Leave Paris behind and head off with your expert guide to the prestigious Moet and Chandon Champagne house in Epernay, the Champagne Capital. Easily boasting the largest Champagne cellars in the world, this luxury Champagne house is home to some 17 miles (28 km) of underground tunnels where their world-famous sparkling wine matures. As you tour this incredible labyrinth of chalk cellars with your guide, learn about the magical process of turning standard white wine into something fizzy! Hear about humidity levels and temperature control, and, see for yourself how the bubbles get into each bottle. At the end of your 1,5-hour walking tour around the cellars, sample a glass of Moet Champagne and discuss its complex creation with the fellow Champagne lovers in your group.
After lunch, hop back on board your air-conditioned minivan and leave Epernay, for a ride around Reims Mountain Regional Nature Park, home to Grand Crus vineyards, before reaching Hautvillers with your guide. Known as ‘the birthplace of Champagne,’ this charming village is best-known for its most famous ex-resident, Dom P□rignon, the innovative Benedictine monk who dedicated most of his life to producing and perfecting Champagne.

I give this tour a 1 Star because the champagne was delicious. The rest of the experience was not pleasant.
8 guests are crammed into a van which really should only hold 6. 2 people are seated in the front on a bench seat so you are either jammed against the door or the driver depending on where you are seated. The driver was a nice man who clearly had a meal with garlic the night before. He also was unclear of directions so was typing on his GPS frequently. He also sent text several times while driving. He had some basic knowledge of the area. I dont know his name. Not sure he gave it.
For the price, you get 2 glasses of champagne. Thats it. There is no opportunity to taste any of the other options.
The cathedral in Reims was beautiful but its not necessary to spend 2 hours there. Would rather have had another champagne wine tasting.
Save your money. Do not purchase this tour.

Great day out in the Champagne region. Very interesting and enjoyable tour of Moet and Chandon with tastings at the end. The church in Reims is breathtaking and even had time for a spot of shopping. Mumm was also a fascinating tour of the caves below. So many bottles and such little time!!! Our guide was great with lots of information about the areas we passed through. Recommend this tour of the region.

After taking this tour, I'm shocked it's ranked so highly. At the 2 champagne houses, admission was 20-30 per person for the tour and tasting of 1 glass which is what this tour included. It would have been far cheaper for us to rent a car or hire a driver for the day than to spend 460 on 2 people for 4 glasses of champagne total. The listing said the tour includes a tasting at 3 champagne houses, but we only went to 2. I'm not sure if this was a result of our driver we were early to GH Mumm and Moet so it wasn't a result of us being behind schedule/a time savings or misinterpretting the listing but it says:

Champagne tastings at Moet and Chandon, Hautvillers, and the House of MummWith respect to the transportation, I expected a bit more. We were in a Volkswagon van and I had the middle seat up front -- basically with the driver shifting into me and my knees against the dashboard. I think you should strongly consider limiting the tour to 6 or 7 guests instead of 8 as sitting in the middle front seat a bench front row seat I haven't seen since an '87 buick. Our guide was really just a driver and didn't provide any value or add to the trip. He took us from A to B and did not offer any bits of knowledge above that.
The Champagne houses themselves were fantastic! I would absolutely go back to both and loved our tours. I'd highly recommend going, just not on this tour.
This is my third Viator tour within the past year and likely will be my last. Underwhelming and overpriced.

First, our tour guide, Jean Marc was my fave! An older man with endless knowledge in every subject of everything. I literally wanted to fold him up and put him in my pocket. Our tour was supposed to have been with two other girls that never made it, so it was just my husband and I. We had a private tour without having to pay for it! My only complaint is that for over 400 two people they should have included a premium tasting to these places. The entrance fee for each is about 24 euros pp. Do the math, the travel agency is making a killing so they can at least pay an extra few euros and make the experience much more worth while. My fave of the two was Moet. Although the champagne from Mumm for me was better. Hautvillers was very nice too. If you have the financial means to do this tour, do it. You wont regret it and in spite of my small complaint, it is still very well worth every penny.

I gave 2stars instead of 1 BC my guide Phillipe was AMAZING! This trip was a rip off. The description is misleading. Only two tastings but made it sound like you do multiple . Also you only drive by Dom Perignon's place. Found the same on

The tour was wonderful. We enjoyed the day. This trip exceeded our expectations. Loved Moet and Chandon. The Cathedral in Reims is unbelievable the church of Kings. Great day.

1st stop champagne well worth seeing , should have stayed their for lunch however were not allowed instead taken Reims just prior to Mumm visit, no where special to eat, guide's only concern was get home early and cut everything short . Very disappointing. As always had great times with viator B4

Disappointing misrepresentation by provider. Promotes that breakfast and lunch are provided, and that you visit 3 champagne houses. No breakfast. Lunch was on our own. Visited only 2 champagne houses. Little value add from your guide. View this as renting a shared van to visit 2 champagne houses

Every trip to Paris should include a tour of Champagne! This one is great-small intimate groups with a guide. Jean-Marc was great and had heaps of local knowledge.
