Make your own way to Paris Saint-Germain’s Parc des Princes football stadium. Now one of the largest football stadiums in France, it was originally a velodrome and the finish line of the Tour de France from the first event in 1903 until the 1960s.
On arrival, head inside and settle into your seat on the side of the home team ─ if you have chosen to visit with a group, you are guaranteed seats together.
Hear the deafening roar as the crowd pumps themselves up with football chants, such as ‘Ici c'est Paris’ (This is Paris). Then, get ready to watch some of France’s best players take on their contenders from your optimally placed seat.
As the players take to the pitch, stamp your feet and sing along with the packed stadium while fans cheer for their favorite players. Sit on the edge of your seat and watch in awe as the players run up and down the pitch, performing slick tackles and passes in their fight for ownership of the ball.
Move your eyes quickly across the pitch, and jump to your feet in excitement whenever Paris Saint-Germain approaches the opposing team’s goal. Hear the collective howls following near misses and see the crowd wince as players collide.
To refuel your energy levels while watching the game, head to one of the stadium’s snack stalls to purchase food and drinks (own expense).
