Meet your guide in front of the Madeleine church, in central Paris and then set off on your 3-hour walking tour to explore the grand boulevards around the 8th arrondissement. Luxury and elegance abound in the area, and as you walk your guide will point out examples of beautiful Belle poque architecture.
You'll stop at a renowned food shop to sample one of the capital’s finest macarons mini-meringues sandwiched together with cream.The brightly colored, melt-in-your-mouth treats are ubiquitous around France, and the Parisian shops that sell them hold a prestigious reputation around the world.
Continue walking to the Louvre Museum, an iconic building home to some of the world’s most celebrated art. Amble through an arcade that offers a glimpse into the famous gallery, and then relax in the surrounding gardens as your guide regales you with tales about Paris’ art and culture.
You'll then head to a lively Parisian market to indulge in one of the country’s popular gastronomic pleasures: cheese! Meet some of the friendly traders and sample their wares, trying crumbling chunks of pungent Roquefort and slivers of Brie. There is plenty of free time to stroll the market, if you want to buy some cheese.
Finally, you'll walk to Le Marais, a historical neighborhood full of trendy cafes and vintage boutiques all exuding bohemian charm. Wander through tucked away Arcades, hidden streets that even locals don't know about, and the narrow streets that speak to Paris' rich medieval history. Rafael (may be spelling his name wrong) was out your guide and was absolutely wonderful! We had a small group of 10 which was the perfect size for a tour. Rafael knew a lot of history and took us to places we wouldn't have seen without this tour. We ended up going to eat at one of the restaurants we talked about during our tour and the food was superb! This was a highlight of our trip to Paris!! HIGHLY recommend!!

Outstanding 3.5 hour walking tour with Thomas! We visited several neighborhoods, listened to interesting stories, had amazing macaroons, bread and cheese. We went back to one of the neighborhoods we visited for a wonderful dinner that night. Thomas also provided us with a wonderful recommendation for lunch after the tour. An excellent tour and we'd highly recommended to anyone, just be prepared to walk!

Adele is a very engaging host to our tour and she sets a relaxed pace. We found that we had explored many of the areas she covered in the tour, but her knowledge added quite a bit of depth and understanding to what we were seeing. It was a small group of six of us with Adele, so individualized attention to all of the questions and needs of members of the group were well attended to. Overall, a very nice way to while away about three and a half hours in Paris becoming a more informed tourist!

It was much better than we expected. Our guide was very good at explaining the history of all the places we visited and we had a great, fun time.

We really enjoyed this walk, cheese tasting plate (with intro to each cheese) and a very helpful informative guide. A very pleasant walk. It was a little disappointing the macaron tasting had to be on the street, they were doing some marketing event... and it didn’t distract from the morning.

Enjoyed this tour very much. Would never have found some of the great spots without. The cheese tasting was excellent although in a cafe and not at a market. Only negative for us was the timing being much longer than 3 hours which made it a rush for other things planned for the afternoon.
