On this intimate small-group tour of a Paris
boulangerie (bakery), you'll go behind the scenes and explore the production rooms where French
pain (bread),
gateaux (cakes) and
patisseries (pastries) are made.
Your knowledgeable bakery guide will explain how to make the famous French baguette and will demonstrate how the machines work. In a warm and relaxed atmosphere, your guide will give you plenty of bread-making tips and will tell you about the bread history.
Far from a factory with industrial methods, the French bakery you’ll visit is a typical small and independent Parisian production unit. The bakers are skilled artisan craftsmen who have real passion for every aspect of French baking. What a delightful experience! We learned a lot and it was a unique opportunity to be so close to so many baguettes in the bread kitchen and to so many pastries in the patisserie kitchen. Highly recommend this 1 hour snapshot of real Paris.

Love the Bakery tour.

Everyone was very friendly but there just wasn't enough going on to make this tour interesting. We watched them roll dough for baguettes and then we watched them put pastries together..and that was it.

Tour was in a small bakery that produces a high volume of baked goods each day. Tour guide knew English but the bakerys manager and a few of the French-speaking tour participants did most of the talking, in French. Info shared by tour guide was very basic. If you know anything about baking bread, find a different way to enjoy Pariss wonderful baking tradition.

The baguette and croissant were delicious! There were also a bunch of small samples to enjoy as well.

Wonderful. Loved this. Making croissants to take away in a traditional Paris bakery was terrific. Loads of interesting facts about the artisan industry and the skills of the bakers. What a shame England doesn't have an artisan baking tradition like this!!

Perfect, small tour, just three of us. Lots of information packed into an hour, but not rushed. The baguette and croissant at the end were super tasty! Would recommend if looking for a simple tour.
