This was a fun and educational tour that any macaroon lover should not pass up. We had six people in the tour group which made the tour quite nice. We were given hair nets and cover ups for our clothes and shoes, and then taken to the shop's kitchen. We were given a lot of information regarding macaroons: history ingredients difference between French and Italian macaroons did not even know there were two typed of macaroons. We got a close up and personal look into how French macaroons are made. We also got to taste a few different macaroons.
This tour was suppose to include a tour of chocolate making. However, due to water damage in the chocolate kitchen, we were not able to get this portion of the tour. So, after the macaroon tour, we returned to the front of the shop, where we learned about the various kinds of chocolates also made in this shop.
We were offered various types of chocolate to taste. Overall, this was a great tour! -
The macaron factory was incredible. The chef was experienced and knowledgeable. Loved it

Very educational.
Dort of difficult to get to the tour location but we found it. Leader was very nice and helped us understand the operations in making chocolate and macarons

Great little tour inside a real Parisian chocolate shop. Translator speaks very good English and the chocolates were absolutely delicious!

Using the Metro this was an easy place to get to. Meeting a master chef macaron maker was very interesting, watching him at work left you breathless. I hope the tips he gave will help my macaron baking, he also gave a tasting of the ones he was making that day. Yum!! The young artisan chocolatier, explained how they made the chocolates we tasted. He was also working on the stores Christmas decorations; two Eiffel Towers and an Art Deco Metro sign, an absolute work of art. Great tour.

This was really good although we were in a large group and it's a small space and sometimes you can't hear the guide - but was still great to see how everything is made and the tastings were good

I really liked the behind the scene tour, however, my niece found the group of 16 too much in the small space as others blocked her views. I tried to get her up front more. This is one of a few macarons being made in Paris (Laduree and Pierre Hermes have facilities outside of Paris). The pastry chef showed us the process and we watched his assistants hand fill the macarons (they were working on the World Cup colors). The chocolate room was even smaller for the group. We had two guides to split the group and translate but this really needs to be a smaller group to appreciate and enjoy. Originally the guides planned to split the group and do each in their own room and then switch but that changed onsite by the owner it seemed outside of the guides control. The macarons are wonderful as was the chocolate sample. I will have a post and photos from the tour on my travel blog philatravelgirl

Really interesting tour. We were able to taste several macaroons and chocolates.

Amazing tour. You should all do this. Different from all the other normal things to do in Paris. Watching chef Mali macaron and chocolates. Also got to taste them too. Really well organised and fun trip! Would recommend this to all! Group of 10 of us, was tight in the kitchen but all a good laugh.

Our tour guide was lovely, but merely a translator. There are few samples on this tour and it is very out of the way to get to. Getting to talk to Mulot's chefs was a wonderful experience but we did not see macarons being made the day we went because the chef was on holiday.
