Meet your guide at Marseille Vieux Port and head inland by minivan, passing through picturesque Provencal countryside in the direction of Avignon just over an hour away. Known as the City of Popes, Avignon was once home to a succession of 14th- and 15th-century French popes who lavished the city with grand architectural gestures. At your leisure, see several monuments from the city’s heyday, like the Pont Saint-B□nezet a striking medieval bridge and the impressive Popes’ Palace (Palais des Papes) which you can visit (own expense).
After a break for lunch (own expense), head to the old castle ruins near Ch teauneuf-du-Pape village, in the heart of the country’s Rh ne Valley. The name ‘Ch teauneuf-du-Pape’ also applies to the appellation (wine-making region) in which the village lies, and you’ll taste several of its famous wines at a local wine cellar here. See the vineyards and cellars while learning about the region’s viniculture from your guide.
Continue your tour by minivan, heading toward the Cha ne des Alpilles mountain range. On the way, stop to admire the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Pont du Gard a well-preserved Roman aqueduct that once supplied the city of Nimes with water. The last stop of your day is Les Baux de Provence, a charming medieval village perched high on a rocky hill where you’ll have time to spend at leisure. Admire dramatic views over the lush Provencal countryside and amble around the cobblestone streets gazing at the city's old fortress ruins (admission to the fortress is at your own expense). From March to December, possibility to attend the sound and light show about Vincent Van Gogh in Les Carri□res de Lumi□res (entrance fee not included) instead of visiting the village.
After soaking up the delights of Les Baux de Provence, meet your guide for your journey back to Marseille. Your tour finishes back at Marseille Vieux Port in the early evening.行程概要出發地點

Our guide, Gaelle, was wonderful. My only disappointment was not having enough time in Avignon. I would have preferred to not go to Chateauneuf-du-Pape and spend the time enjoying Avignon. It took a god couple of hours to get there and back for three thimblefuls of wine. Les Baux de Provence is a beautiful town and we enjoyed visiting it.

Best way to survey the area and see some amazing sites in a short amount of time. Our tour guide, Gale, provided a wealth of history and useful information. Highly recommended!

In spite the heavy rains, Remy made this trip very pleasant. He was friendly, very organized in making our itinerary there were only two of us in this tour and even marked the interesting sites in each place we stopped.

We really enjoyed Avignon and Chateauneuf-du-Pape, but were underwhelmed with Les Baux de Provence. The views were beautiful, but too much time was given to wander the village, which didn't have much to offer. We also had to pick up a second set of travelers in Aix, which was basically wasted time. There was not really any history given on the way to Aix because she was waiting for everyone to be on the tour. Overall, it was a quick was to see a lot of Provence, but there was not much value for the money.

A very full day! The only Wish we had had more time in Avignon, a city WAY too big to visit in 90 minutes!! Le Baux de Provence, on the other hand: WOW!!

We especially liked the tour guide Benjamin. This is a day long and satisfactory tour.

Matt our tour leader was well-informed. A further half hour at Chateauneuf-du-Pape would have made the tour even better, however still greatly recommended!

Fantastic trip for those who dont have long in the area/ Florence was a fantastic guide and very informative. Would recommend this trip.

Victorina, the guide, was excellent, kind and with lots of useful information. A van very comfortable. The most beautiful is the Beaux de Provence and surroundings. Very helpful tour to wine tasting, a pity that we haven't visited the town Chateauneuf du Pape just for 15 minutes it is the only serious objection.
