While you’re in port in Marseille, make the most of your time in the south of France by discovering Aix-en-Provence on this private shore excursion. After port pickup, enjoy a scenic drive north to Aix-en-Provence, a magnificent city founded by the Romans in the 1st century BC. Admire the city’s rich architecture while walking along Cours Mirabeau, a famous promenade lined with 19th-century buildings, cafes and shops once frequented by historical figures like Albert Camus.
Head toward the Place du G□n□ral de Gaulle with its spectacular fountain. Witness the mix of water and art with a visit to the 17th-century Four Dolphins Fountain sculpture and the Place d’Albertas fountain, whose basin was made by local students. Was disappointing in the town. Very little to see. Would not do it again. Guide was good, but the town was boring.

This was a wonderful tour. It felt like we got behind the curtain to see an authentic living history. Our tour guide showed us intimate details and kept it all interesting. When one of our party had a serious medical event, our guide immediately recognized the problems and called in the EMTs. She then helped us all to mitigate our anxieties and modified the excursion so it was most memorable.

Absolutely everything I thought a small town in France should be! We booked the tour last minute and our guide was waiting with a sign when we left our ship. He was so friendly and even complimented my French! He Waked with us and pointed out interesting thins along the way! Tres Bon!!

Excellent tour. Our guide Veronique I apologize if I misspelled your name handled all the driving, answered questions, and kept our small group together. She also co-ordinated our walking tour and was very informative. Very pleased with how the tour was handled.

My group was totally thrilled with this excursion. Maria was a fabulous guide and aix-en-Provence was beautiful. We arrived early I the morning and there were few tourists there which was great. As well as their usual market there was a crafts market set up with fabulous hand crafted merchandise and we lucked into a "period costume" parade. I would recommend this excursion and viator.
