You’ll be picked up from Avignon Tourist Information Center, morning or afternoon tour by 8-passenger minivan. Enjoy views of Provence’s picturesque summer landscapes as you drive through blooming lavender fields, making photo stops along the way.
Enjoy free time in the village of Roussillon. Wander the town by foot and browse the lavender shops full of flowers, fragrant essential oils and local honey. You will have a photo stop at the panoramic point of view to take pictures of the hilltop village of Gordes, classified as "one of the most beautiful villages in France". Another short photo stop will be organized at Senanque Abbey to take pictures of this famous cistercian church still ruled by monks, surrounded by lavender fields.

Best visiting time for Lavender in early July. Still an enjoyable trip with Sunflower field and magnificent views.

The description of this tour has changed since I booked and paid for our family of four. It use to say the morning tour was 4 hours and afternoon tour was five hours because it also included a stop at the Lavender Museum which we really wanted to see. That didn't happen. Now I go back and see that the verbiage has been changed and both morning and afternoon are five hours. Our tour did not last five hours. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable and dropped us at the parking garage at the conclusion. I don't feel this is the guide's fault. Viator had one description of the tour and the tour guide had other instructions from his local company. First time not entirely happy with Viator.

The villages were beautiful. The lavender was not quite at its peak, but we knew that. Our guide talked about Provence, lavender, the villages etc the entire 1 hour drive to our first stop. The PROBLEM was the 3 people in the third row heard NONE of the guides comments. I found out later, the company had to rent a van to honor all their bookings. That was creative and accommodating, BUT the failure to provide the guide with a portable microphone was bad for half the guests and really unfair to the guide. She caught the anger of the people she was working hard to please and I don't think she was given any tips!!!

Our trip was very fun, and we saw beautiful lavender fields and multiple village towns. Our host was very accommodating, but extremely difficult to understand. French and English were not her first languages, so multiple people in our can were having trouble hearing and understanding her. Out of the van, though, the beauty of the tour was very worth it! The villages were gorgeous, and the lavender in bloom! At the Abbaye de S□nanque, the lavender was not in full bloom yet, since it was in a valley. All in all, the trip was fun (apart from not understanding 3/4 of what our guide was telling us.)

We were just one week too early before the lavender fully blossoms. But it doesn't mean we didn't enjoy ourselves. Our tour guide has a strong passion of her work is enthusiastic.

This trip was such great value! The driver kept us informed and amused with his stories and information during our drive. We were able to walk through the lavender which was such a joy. Seeing the still rustic and traditional 'processing' building felt like a step back int time.
So worth it, in fact i would do it again. -
Remi did a splendid job as our guide. He presented interesting information, took us to lavender farms, a beautiful Abby, and 2 gorgeous villages. The scenery en route was just amazing! Great way to see Provence in 5 hours.

I have offered this trip to my sister as a gift while she was visiting several cities in Provence. She loved Provence, but this trip is, she said, the absolute highlight of the whole stay. She says that the guide Nicholas was the coolest guy ever, putting all the participants at their ease telling a lot of interesting facts about lavender and the region and wine and traditions etc etc.
The trip was also very well organized in terms of time and places visited.
