The guided wine and vine cycle tour is a must for those who really enjoy wine and want to know a bit more about the place and the people. Our guides will tell you stories of the town in an entertaining and informative way to make sure you walk away with an in-depth knowledge of this boutique wine village.
Choose to cycle through Martinborough on one of our comfortable rental bikes, or hop aboard one of our cool rickshaws; great if you want a bit of 'luxury' or would prefer not to ride a bicycle.
Throughout the tour, you'll visit three wineries and an olive grove. The properties are carefully selected to ensure you get the most interesting cross-section of producers and wine available. You will enjoy a lovely picnic lunch in a sheltered spot along the way. Our gourmet food is handmade in our own kitchen and includes a wide variety of vineyard platter fare. We cater for all special dietary requirements.
We offer free collection at the Featherston Railway Station for bookings of six or more people and are conveniently located in the heart of Martinborough to start this interesting tour.行程概要出發地點

Wow! What a wonderful day I had on this rickshaw winery tour. I was joined by Claire Destination Wairarapa and we met our cycling host, the lovely Bronwyn. The three of us enjoyed many a laugh and chat as Bronwyn capably cycled. The wide, quiet roads, the beautiful weather and gorgeous scenery enhanced our enjoyment. The first winery stop was Palliser where we were greeted by Chico a rotund and friendly cairn terrier. Claire and I tasted five super wines accompanied by a description of each by our knowledgeable hostess. Our second winery was Te Kairanga ? where, while Claire and I sampled yet more wines, we had our picnic lunch set out by Bronwyn on the Verandah The al-fresco picnic had been prepared/cooked by Stuart owner of Green Jersey Cycles and Louisa, and featured dips, meats, vege sticks, 3 varieties of cheeses, breads, olives, frittata, washed down with Cider, and not forgetting the scrumptious pear and almond tart with blueberries. Phew,so yummy! Next final stop was the lovely little boutique Schubert winery, where I splurged and bought a bottle of the most smooth and delectable dessert wine 'Dolce'. Of course we thoroughly enjoyed more tastings and were joined by fellow rickshaw winery guests! More laughs and conversation ensued. And so, it was onwards back to where it all started from....the Green Jersey Cycle tour office. My gratitude to Stuart and Louisa for providing that beautiful lunch, and to Bronwyn, you were amazing and fun to be with. Thanks heaps and I hope to see you one day again soon. - This is easily the best wine tour I've ever been on. We met Stuart, our guide, on Martinborough’s main street and then hopped on our super-bright green bikes for a quick ride around the town square. After hearing a bit of Martinborough’s history, we cycled to Brodie Estate, the first of the four vineyards we visited on the tour. The roads are flat and pretty much empty (save for a few other people on rental bikes) so you can really kick back, chat and enjoy the gorgeous scenery without worrying about keeping out the way of cars. Stuart was awesome and kept us entertained the whole day. He introduced us to the winemakers at all of the cellar doors and talked knowledgeably about winemaking in the area. We also visited an olive grove, Olivo, where we tried more than a dozen infused oils. The lunch stop was at Poppies, the top-rated venue in town, and the platter was absolutely delicious. I urge anyone going to Martinborough to join a guided wine and vine tour!
