Meet your guide and coach in Rotorua, then buzz over to the nearby cultural center at Te Puia, which covers nearly 150 acres (60 hectare) in a geothermal valley. See massive geysers and bubbling mud pools as well as demonstrations of Maori traditions and crafts.
Next, a short drive brings you to Rainbow Springs, the nation’s largest kiwi conservation park, which features New Zealand’s national bird along with other native wildlife. As you walk through the park, check out free-flight aviaries that house 16 breeds of native birds, streams with huge wild trout, and the tuatara, a prehistoric lizard-like reptile that is also referred to as a dragon or living dinosaur.
After seeing wild critters at Rainbow Springs, head to the Velocity Valley to learn about farm life, specifically sheep and sheep dogs. Watch an entertaining sheep-shearing demonstration and marvel at the smarts of the sheep dogs as they work with their masters to herd sheep.
Once you have experienced life on the farm, you’ll have an hour to eat lunch (own expense). After lunch, your guide transfers you to the Hobbiton Movie Set coach tour. Take a scenic 1-hour drive over the Kaimai mountain range to arrive at the 1,250 acre farm where scenes from the Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit were filmed.
Enter the world of The Shire as your guide explains how this working sheep farm became the movie set for Middle-Earth. Snap photos in front of Hobbit holes, Bilbo Baggins’ house, the Green Dragon Inn, the double-arch bridge and the mill, plus other structures from the films.
When your Hobbiton set tour wraps, reboard the coach for your return to Rotorua. You also have the option to continue by coach to Auckland, approximately a 3-hour drive, instead of returning to Rotorua.行程概要出發地點

The part of Rotorua City Tour was really excellent. The living Geyser in this geothermal valley was an amazing experience. The bubbling and eruption of mud pool was a good experience. They gave adequate time to enjoy this great sight.
But insight of Mouri culture and Kiwi Encounter as mentioned in the highlight was missing. Agrodome and it's live show was ok. But nothing great. The kids of course will enjoy this show a lot. Else the show for a long time was boring.
I strongly feel that other than young people, no one should go to Hobbiton. It is just like a monument of old history where movie used to be shot in the past. It's quite a hilly and dry area. Walking for quite long in the uphill terrain under the scorching sun is extremely painful. And having taken all the trouble, you don't see anything great.
I appreciate the on time pick up from the hotel.

This tour was great! The local knowledge imparted by Barry, and of course the cultural knowledge of the various guided tours was excellent! Hobbiton was a must see, and a great way to end the day.

The itinerary was a bit too packed and tiring. Rotorua citytour can be scaled down a bit.

This tour was amazing!! We truly enjoyed the entire day. The first half of the day you spend going to Te Puia, Agrodome, and Rainbow Springs. All of which were awesome! It was a bit rushed but that's to be expected when you are going to see a bunch of things in a short time. We felt like the amount of time we spent at these locations was enough. The Hobbiton portion was definitely the highlight of our day. This tour is absolutely worth the money! Highly recommended if you are only in Rotorua for a short time!

The Hobbiton tour brings to life the LOTR and Hobbit movies. It feels like a hobbit should walk right down the lane.

Fantastic tour, fun filled tour guide!!!!Lots to see and so work to design and construct such a site that can be shared with people of the world. Climax of tour at the famous Pub for an Ale or cider. Highly Recommend this tour as a must do in your itinerary plans for N Z .
