    Hop on board your large yellow jet boat in central Queenstown at the Main Town Pier. After receiving a safety briefing and gear, set off on a 1-hour adrenaline-pumping adventure on two of the most scenic rivers in New Zealand, covering 27 miles (45km).
    First, roar across pristine Lake Wakatipu to the mouth of the Kawarau River. Zoom past the Kawarau Dam and head up the willow-lined river, hanging on as your driver executes 360-degree spins! Next the adventure heightens as your driver navigates the fast-moving currents of the narrow braided Shotover River, racing up the shallow channels at speeds of up to 59 miles per hour (95 km) in water that is only inches deep in places.
    Your journey isn’t just heart-stopping fun. You also get to see some gorgeous wilderness outside of Queenstown. Take in stunning views of the majestic Remarkables mountain range, glimpse local life as you pass homes along the riverbanks, and admire the natural beauty of New Zealand’s waterways.
    After your thrilling ride, return to the Main Town Pier. Your tour includes free entry to the Underwater Observatory, which is located on the pier. Step into a room beneath the lake’s surface where you can view brown trout, diving ducks and freshwater eels. You can purchase food to feed the creatures and watch them dive for treats. Photos from your trip are available for purchase here if you’d like to take home a memento of your jet boat adventure.

    Not much to see, boring part of the river. Lots of gratuitous 360 spins maybe the kids like this but annoying for an adult A poor value in my opinion. The same price in the US gets me a jet boat ride on the Columbia River for the whole day ! The other jet boat outfit does a more scenic part of the river. Go with them or skip this all together.

    This was really enjoyable, lasted for the hour and the driver really throw the boat around. However we were booked for a 5 p.m. trip but chanced going out early butte company said they were not operating a trip at our supposedly booked time so we were very lucky we chanced our luck at 3. Would suggest double checking at the pier side before you turn up to avoid being disappointed.

    The staff were very prompt and courteous. The time on the boat was excellent which was great value for money. The departure and finish location was in the centre of Queenstown so it was very handy and no wasting time travelling. Definitely recommend

    What an awesome experience. Had a lot of fun and it was well worth the costs. Looked at some other companies before choosing this one and this to me, was good value for the quoted 60 minutes. The only down side was, it went ten minutes shorter than quoted for some reason....

    Wet weather gear is supplied and helps to keep you dry. The tour operators are friendly and show good customer service skills. You also get a free entry to the under water experience at the end, which was nice to see.

    All in all, much fun to be had, glad we did it, shame about getting robbed 10 minutes of water time.
