Join one of the best sightseeing buses in New Zealand complete with air-conditioning, a modern glass roof and complimentary return ferry ride from downtown Auckland.
With a 24-hour hop on hop off bus ticket from Explorer Bus, you’ll have the opportunity to discover Auckland city at your own pace; from the seaside village of Devonport to fashionable shopping districts in Ponsonby and Parnell Village and the tree lined streets of Auckland Waterfront.
A double decker bus departs every 15 minutes* in summer and visits Auckland Museum, Sky City, Parnell Village, Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium, Auckland waterfront, Mount Eden, St Lukes Shopping Mall, Auckland Zoo and many more of the best things to see in Auckland. The first Explorer Bus departs from the Waterfront stop at 9am, with the last bus returning at 5pm.
An entertaining commentary is available in English with translated information sheets in French, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Portuguese and German. Combine your Explorer Bus pass with an attraction combo and save! See the options available.

Lovely, helpful drivers with a very informative commentary all the way around. Bus stops easily visible with a regular timetable for you to pick up where you left off. Lovely ferry trip to Devonport too. Highly recommended

It was a bery exciting and cheap way of seeing the major tourist spots of aucland where you don’t have to hurry up, we enjoyed the 2 day trip. Drivers bery accomodating and we enjoyed seating in front of the double decker bus.

We did both the blue and red trip. Easy to get on and off. plenty of stops. Great way to see Auckland.

Good overview of the city with limited opportunities to hop on and off. Bought the 48 hour pass which included tickets for a ferry boat to Devonport Island which was great.

The Hop On Hop Off bus is the best way to see any city, wherever in the world you go. This one was excellent buses were regular and the staff very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the Devonport Ferry was a lovely bonus.

Was great, although might be nice if the driver stopped at some of the stops, when safe, for just enough time to hop off and take a photo or two, before they took off, saving you from having to wait for next bus, just to catch a quick photo.

I get to see many places conveniently. I have the freedom to spend as much time as I want in the places I love, and skip those I dont want to see.

Convenient and it runs on time .It includes the ferry ticket to Devonport . A bit walking up to Mt Victoria. Nice scenery . Very good value.

We firstly used our ticket to get over to Devonport, and we ended up staying there for most of the day as it was so interesting and pretty.
We did get a chance to take the whole Red Route tour when we got back, which was very good, but sadly we were too late to take advantage of the 'Hop On Hop Off' element to visit other attractions.
Oh well, maybe next time :
