The Auckland Street Art Walking Tour will begin in the trendy suburb of Ponsonby, home to a large concentration of galleries, outdoor sculptures and street art. Your guide will share with you the chequered history that lies beneath the artistic surface of Ponsonby.
Walking past large scale murals and a number of historic buildings, the tour will then take you on a colorful journey down Karangahape Road. This notorious street is packed full of artist studios, edgy street art, and interesting histories. Let your guide take you off the beaten tourist track down side streets and alleyways to discover the freshest street art and graffiti Auckland City has to offer.
Passing through the trendy St Kevin’s Arcade you will see a range of artist studios and murals featuring a diverse set of works by big names like Askew One, Flox and Component. The tour will then take you through the picturesque Myers Park, home to a number of intriguing outdoor sculptures which make for great photo opportunities.
The tour will conclude in the heart of Auckland City at Aotea Square, in close connection to further arts and cultural attractions you may wish to explore after the tour.
