After morning pickup from your Sydney hotel, head north across Sydney Harbour Bridge to reach Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, located just 45 minutes drive from central Sydney. Your guide points out the landmarks you pass on the way to your first stop, West Head lookout.
From the lookout, take in incredible views of Broken Bay, Pittwater and the historic sandstone lighthouse on Barrenjoey Headland. Gazing across Broken Bay, see the beaches of the central coast and Lion Island, which shelters the largest population of little penguins in the Sydney area. Hear stories about shipwrecks, pirates, smugglers, escaped convicts and the park’s importance during World War II.
You'll also meet with a guide who provides interpretation of Aboriginal customs and Dreamtime stories. Learn about the Guringai people who originally lived in this area during a guided tour of a remote Aboriginal heritage site, which holds some of the most important rock carvings in Australia.
Continue to Akuna Bay where you board a 50-foot catamaran for a 3-hour cruise through the park's remote waterways. Your guide shows you exotic birds and marine life, Aboriginal heritage sites that are only visible from the water and one of Sydney’s most inaccessible waterfalls. Enjoy a 1-hour on-board cultural presentation, partake in hands-on demonstrations of the didgeridoo, spears, woomera (spear-throwing device), fire making and other Aboriginal skills.
For lunch, enjoy typical Australian fare that features bush tucker flavors. Your tour also offers morning and afternoon tea and samples of favorite Aussie snacks.

Stunning scenery, so peaceful and quiet, you felt like you were a million miles away. The group was nice and small so we got to appreciate it

Things started a bit slowly with pick up delayed but went well afterwards. Beautiful boat ride, sights, lunch and Paul was full of terrific local information. Respect for aboriginal sites was truly appreciated. We would recommend this tour.

tour guide was excellent and we were able to see painted aboriginal art on river banks and line drawings on a area of flat rocks. Trip included a river cruise. We enjoyed this informative trip very much thanks to our guide and the great scenery

Vendor called at 6pm the evening before saying that national park officials had determined that the park would be closed next day due to an anticipated weather threat.

Organisers included an additional city tour after the trip. Organisers were dedicated to provide a good trip experience to everyone. However, for the price of the trip, I would recommend having more highlights in the national park to see. There were only 2-3 aboriginal highlights during the trip which I felt is quite lacking.

This is a must do in Sydney. Jeff, Paul, and Captain Rod provided an amazing experience especially being able to view Aboriginal art from the boat. Best land and water tour we have had. We even had the pleasure of meeting Pauls little princess. Well worth the price!

Unforgettable experience One of the most wonderful excursions I've done in all my travels. Perfect organization, professional and didactic. All thanks to the great guide of Paul and his team of collaborators bus driver, captain of the boat who made us live an incredible day. Family trip and my wife as my daughter were impressed with the tour. Thank you, thank you very much Paul and his team for being great people and making us love and feel the Australian land.
