Depart from Sydney by air-conditioned coach, driving over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Great Northern Road en route to Tobruk Sheep Station, just 70 minutes from downtown Sydney.
Upon arrival at Tobruk, Australian stockmen on horseback welcome you to the scenic ranch. Head to Drover’s Camp where you learn how to make traditional stockman’s tucker: billy tea and damper, both prepared directly on the campfire. Damper is bread cooked on the fire; to make billy tea, the pot is swung around at arm’s length so the tea leaves settle on the bottom prior to drinking. Hear about the history of Tobruk and the life of a stockman as you sip your morning tea and snack on damper served with butter and syrup.
After your tea, see the Stockman’s Roundup, which highlights the horse riding skills of the stockman and the partnership between stockman and sheepdog. Marvel as they herd a flock of 50 sheep from open field to a small fenced area. Keep your camera ready to snap photos, especially if the dog jumps on the back of a wayward sheep!
Next, watch a demonstration of sheep-shearing, a practice that requires great skill and agility. During the demonstration, listen to the shearer’s stories about the craft and how the sheep’s fleece is transformed into yarn and cloth. Under the guidance of a veteran, you may even try shearing a sheep yourself.
After all the action, enjoy a tasty lunch of Aussie barbecue with a range of dishes such as succulent steaks, fresh damper rolls, green salad, and a traditional Lamington cake for dessert ─ delicious!
When you've finished eating, learn from the experts how to throw a boomerang and crack a whip, then give it a try yourself.
In the early afternoon, return to Sydney to end your tour, catching views of the Hawkesbury River Valley and Blue Mountains on your drive.行程概要出發地點

We were with ATT Kings on a small group tour and enjoyed the personalized treatment. The sheep herding and shearing demonstrations were so interesting. My only complaint was that although our group was small, several large groups came an hour or so after us and it got too crowded at lunch time.

Very enjoyable. Pick up was punctual, guide was knowledgeable, bus was excellent. Very entertaining.

Our absolute favorite tour of all! Our tour guide was the best and the people at the ranch were awesome! Learning to crack a whip and throw a boomerang was really fun. The food was good. LOVED every aspect of this tour!

This was a true Aussie experience, and that's what I was looking for!! From the damper and billy tea to the herding of sheep, it was what I expected and more! I was so glad to be in the smaller group of 18 so that we experienced the ability to crack some whips and throw a boomerang. I enjoyed learning the sheep ranch way of life. Thank you, Viator!

My son and I had an incredible time. The folks at Tobruk were warm and educational and fun. The best though was our driver Henry Enrique! who made it all the better for my son and I!

Enjoyed the day very much with a great guide from ATTKings - Henry. He was very knowledgeable about Australia's history and eagerly encouraged and responded to questions. Good introduction to the sheep station way of life in a simulated environment. The working dog show was my favourite - seeing the development of the dogs through their training.
-
Good trip for the family (with 4 year old son). Not too long and balance of fun and hands-on activities for everyone. Worth the time and $$$.
-
Great experience and excellent and very knowledgeable guide. One of the highlights of our Sydney trip.
