Leave Sydney behind and relax in the beautiful rolling hills and stunning vineyards of Hunter Valley. Spend a full day in Australia's most celebrated wine producing region.
Visit boutique Hunter Valley wineries and taste white and red wine varieties, whilst learning about the wine making process.
Enjoy a gourmet lunch with a glass of wine, beer or soft drink whilst taking in the spectacular views at a local Hunter Valley restaurant.
Stop at a local cheese shop, chocolate and fudge factory, as well as The Hunter Distillery for a vodka tasting experience, before returning back to Sydney at approx. 6.30pm.

Our driver was “Cheeks”! He was friendly, knowledgeable about the area, he gave us great bits of info and we had a great time! The wineries and distillery were very educational and delicious (you won’t get drunk though, lol), and “KRIKEY”, we saw a ton of wild kangaroos! If you do this tour and Cheeks is your driver, you won’t be disappointed!

I enjoyed this tour a lot. Went with my mom and boyfriend, they both liked it as well! Really worth it!

This was truly a experience that I throughly enjoyed. What made the tour amazing was Billy Ryan and the beautiful vineyards. This tour included lunch, wine tasting along with local cheeses. The fellowship and and small group connection was pleasant and very friendly. I highly recommend the wine tasting tour.

This was an enjoyable day out. We were taught how to taste wine properly and the varieties we tasted were all very pleasant, as was the lunch. I'm less sure about the value of the visit to the distillery.

Excellent tour! Very good driver/guide. Great wineries to visit. At the first one the tastings were very small: you'd think they would be more generous in an attempt to sell their wine. The second one was the opposite: generous tastings with cheese and crackers plus a very delicious large portion lunch. A unique vodka distillery with many flavor infusions. Then a good chocolate tasting, and finally generous tastings at another winery: I'm glad I'm not driving!

We enjoyed our day in wine country. Lunch was very good. We purchased wine and vodka during our visits.

This tour was really good. The guide was on time at the pickup spot. The area is really gorgeous. We went to 3 wineries. The first was a small place, but we got to see several dozen wild kangaroos while we were there. They were very cool. They also had infused olive oil there which were very yummy. The second winery was by far the best wine and the best of views. When you went out the back it was like youd been transported to Tuscany. We went back to the Hunt Valley Resort for the third tasting and for lunch. This place was far more commercialized, they also had beer. Lunch was good, we got the basic level choice and it was plenty. The vodka place was awesome due to my being a lover of vodka. Our bus choose to do the chocolate tasting last, which I think was the best order in which to do the tour. It was a pretty place, but not really much of a highlight. They had the basics of chocolates that we could also pick up in Sydney so we just used this as another rest area . They did have gelato in the store.
They do a rest stop on the way up and back where you can get food or drink. You just arent allowed to bring food on the bus, FYI. But we are there for enough time that you can eat something small while youre there. The guide was good, animated and with a sense of humor. The bus was comfortable, maybe a 24 seater?
There are many tours available to Hunter Valley. I felt we made the right decision using this company. -
Had a great time on this tour. Our driver, Ronnie, took us out in the vineyards to see some wild kangaroos which was excellent. The lunch was great. We did the two courses which was definitely a better choice than what I saw people had for the one course. It is about 2.5 hours to Hunter Valley from Sydney, but you stop at a rest stop about half way there to use the bathrooms and get a snack if you want.

Had a really enjoyable and relaxing time. Interesting and unusual wines were part of the new experiences. Love that this tour had the whole package. Wines, Cheese, Vodkas/Liqueurs, Chocolate, everything we wanted in our day. The tour guide and driver Ronnie was funny, informative, and friendly. A definite must for any visitor to Sydney!

Must do tour ! Excellent day trip to North Sydney. We were fortunate to have Daniel as our driver and tour guide . He was amazing. He stopped along the way when we saw Kangaroos for a photo op. There are lots of stops along the way for washrooms and snacks. The wineries were informative. People are very friendly. We had lunch at the Hunter Valley resort . We were able to pick from a list of meal choices. You only get one glass of wine, so any other choices like beer, spirits or more wine, you have to pay. Thats was ok since by that time we had enough to drink already . I expected more from the chocolate tasting place other than a sliver of chocolate . It was just a retail chocolate place with ice cream to purchase.. I give this tour 100... Thank you Zephr Tours and Daniel .
