After pickup in central Sydney, your small group will be transported by comfortable coach to Palm Beach, the filming location for the popular Australian TV show Home and Away. Known as Summer Bay in the TV show, the real location is Palm Beach, a beautiful and laid-back beachside suburb located north of Sydney.
Follow your expert tour guide to famous locations from Home and Away, including the Summer Bay Surf Club, The Pier, Alf's Bait Shop, the lighthouse and the gorgeous beach. Your guide will share insider information, gossip and tricks of the trade from the set!
With luck, you may catch a day when the show is filming and get to watch the crew in action. The cast will sometimes pose for photographs and give autographs; maybe you’ll get a pic with Brax! Popular since its debut in 1987, Home and Away’s notable former cast members include Heath Ledger and Naomi Watts.
You’ll have free time to stroll around and take in the sights of ‘Summer Bay’ before heading south to Manly via a coastal route that passes breathtaking views of Whale Beach, Avalon Beach and the Bilgola lookout. Along the way, you might spot migrating whales (in season). You’ll also see multi-million dollar homes as you come into Manly, a suburb of Sydney that has become famous for its natural beauty, relaxed atmosphere and beach lifestyle.
Your tour ends in Manly, giving you the option to stay and explore this vibrant beachside suburb at your leisure. You may want to take a walk along the coast, rent a bike or kayak, or check out some of the restaurants and bars along the beach. This tour was fantastic. Tour guides were very informative and made you feel welcome. We were lucky there was filming that day and got to meet and chat to Irene, Leah, Dean and young Bella. Got photos with them too. Also saw Colby but he didn’t stop. Highly recommended for fans of Home and Away.

It was great seeing the actual Palm beach otherwise known as Summer bay.
The pier is a coffe and bar and nothing like the actual coffee shop.
The only negative thing was it was just after Easter and so didnt see any filming. -
A very informative tour with excellent staff. Lisa was very knowledgeable about the programme and kept everyone together. It was nice to be dropped off at Manly beach.

This trip was so much better than expected as we met some of the cast of Home and Away!
Pick up in Sydney was straightforward and the weather was perfect for the trip to Palm Beach seeing other stunning beaches on the way. We were told that a film crew would be joining us as they were filming for a special 30th anniversary programme to be shown mid March. It was great fun for us all on the minibus to Sing the Home and Away theme song! Near the beach, Justin and Robbo hopped on board for a quick chat. It was great seeing the bait shop and filming taking place. We were lucky to meet Ray Meagher aka Alf Stewart who was so friendly and took the time to chat to us all and have photos taken with us. Some of the production crew were also on board to give us background information about the programme too. All in all it was a perfect trip and the drop off in Manley with ferry back to Sydney ended a perfect afternoon and early evening. -
Tour was ok. Tour guides were very knowledgeable but I wouldn't insist anyone do they tour unless they are a BIG home and away fan.

The icing on the cake for me was they were actually filming and I had my photo taken with Robbo. The disappointment for me was that we didn't get off the coach to take photos of the hoses, may be that could be included next time.

Having spent time cruising around New Zealand and attending several shore excursions, on returning to Sydney we did this tour, and I can say even though I was pressurized by my partner to attend the trip, it was best excursion we did during our entire holiday, it really was amazing, and extraordinary value for money. We arrived at the actual filming set, while filming was taking place, however we were still allowed to get up close just a few feet during filming. The actors took time out during filming breaks to meet us and chat. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the set and how things worked. highly recommended even if your not fan of the programme like myself.

The tour was not what i expected, id suggest getting a bus down and doing what you want to do. Will save you alot of money and will have a better time

very boring, didnt see much and the weather was not good when i went. didnt see any filming didnt see any inside locations, spent way too much time in the beach/diner area for no reason. tour guide was nice and friendly but useless. there was nothing she was actually doing! there was nothing to say or describe that needed a guide and fr this price i wouldnt recommend it at all!
