Agincourt Reef sits at the very edge of the Great Barrier Reef, a ribbon reef running parallel to the Continental Shelf. There is a multitude of marine life at Agincourt Reef, from tiny iridescent fish seeking shelter in their coral homes to massive giant clams weighing up to 200 kilograms (440 pounds). Perhaps you will see a small harmless reef shark or a boulder coral hundreds of years old.
Your day begins with pickup from your Port Douglas hotel. The fastest ride out to the reef from Port Douglas, the ultra modern 29 meter catamaran will be your base for the day. Throughout the day you'll visit three locations on Agincourt Reef, each showcasing a different aspect of the beautiful Great Barrier Reef. The cruise has exclusive access to 22 premier internationally recognised reef sites and you have the choice to snorkel, dive or a combination of both.
If you have never tried scuba diving you can choose to do one or two introductory dives, or you may prefer to stick to snorkeling and explore all three sites from the surface. A crew member will take those interested on a guided snorkel tour at one of the reef locations. Certified divers can choose to partake in up to three certified dives. Whatever you choose, your Outer Great Barrier Reef Dive and Snorkel Cruise includes up to five hours in the water.
The friendly crew will be happy to answer any questions you have throughout the day. The boat features full bar facilities, fresh water showers and expansive sundecks overlooking the Coral Sea. A tropical buffet lunch will be served between sites, along with morning and afternoon tea.
We recommend you book this reef trip on your first full available day. You then have the opportunity to be flexible and change your travel date if you wish. Your booking can be changed at no additional cost directly with the operator once you are in Cairns. Really enjoyed our full day excursion. Other reviews have pretty much covered the trip in full so I can't add a lot other than to say it was totally worthwhile and enjoyable. The only part that wasn't great was getting in and out of the wet suits and the crush of people getting geared up/down at once.

This was an incredible excursion! Spotless boat, incredible fun and friendly staff, smaller size, great reef stops and perfect location since we were staying in Port Douglas. The included single dive was perfect for first time divers. Great instruction.

We expected the reef trip would be great, so we booked two tours on two successive days. This, our first, included an intro scuba dive. I was initially concerned, my wife and I are around 60, and while I am very comfortable in the water I wasn't sure how she'd do. She did fine, and my children in their mid-20's also did fine. Our leader was very friendly, guided us through the intro dive well, was patient with small problems she'd treated our goggles with anti-fog and asked us to keep the masks on while on the ship, but when the ship photographer came by he asked us to remove them, and when she saw this she sighed but re-treated all of our masks, and made it a very pleasant experience. The ship was very stable and fast. Food was ample and there was plenty for vegetarians. The reef was great and we had a glorious time both days. Crew was very helpful and friendly all around.

Great experience! The staff took very good care of everyone! Would take another trip with this organization. Take care if you take any medication, I wasn't allowed to dive on the reef with scuba gear because of a medication I take. Should have been informed so I could have a doctor's slip.

Superbly organized, professionally run and an unbelievable experience. Crew spent a load of personal time helping my wife overcome concerns over snorkelling so we could have a great experience...thank you again! Not much can top the Reef itself....superb all round!

I was so happy to be able to take this tour as it was the best of three trips to the Great Barrier Reef in 3 days. The seas were calm and the fish were everywhere. Although we had booked directly with Quicksilver for our tour in Cairns, we were pleasantly surprised that the operator was Quicksilver again. Thank you for making it very easy to book a tour!
