After pickup from your Melbourne hotel, travel to the Yarra Valley in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Your food and wine journey through the Yarra Valley begins at the boutique winery, Dominique Portet. Take a private, behind-the-scenes tour and enjoy a barrel tasting .You will learn about how their wine is made, and why Frenchman Dominique chose the Yarra Valley to continue his family’s winemaking tradition.
The next stop is Oakridge Wines. Take in the stunning views across the Yarra Valley from the restaurant as you enjoy a 2-course lunch. The menu features dishes made from the fresh produce of the surrounding Yarra Valley and regional Victoria.
After lunch, continue to Coldstream Hills. Founded by wine critic James Halliday, Coldsteam Hills is one of Australia’s best small wineries. You'll have the opportunity to taste their outstanding Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the varietals the Yarra Valley is renowned for around the world.
The final stop is Yering Station a wine institution of the Yarra Valley with its modern, light-filled cellar door to taste their award-winning wines, and its old farmhouse-style produce store, where you can taste and purchase some tasty accompaniments.
