While the Yarra Valley is a world-renowned wine growing region, wine is only half the story of this gourmet wonderland and this tour provides a fine blend of the very best of the region’s wines and other gourmet products.
Start the day with an exclusive farm gate visit at Yarra Farm Fresh, for a palate-cleansing fruit experience. At this boutique, third-generation orchard, you will sample a range of freshly-made juices and learn about the patented technology that creates each glass. You will also sample and learn about the wide range of apples grown on the property.
Next, travel to one of the valley’s true icons, De Bortoli Wines where you will enjoy a tasting from their extensive range of quality wines. Learn how to swirl, sniff and slurp like true connoisseurs, while tasting some cool-climate wines.
The variety of cheeses at the Yarra Valley Dairy are truly stunning and will have your taste buds working overtime!
Our lunch is at the fabulous Rochford Wines where our guests can choose from four different main meals, with a glass of wine & tea/coffee. Take some time to explore the gift shop, or perhaps climb the spiral staircase to enjoy the panoramic views from Rochford’s famous lookout tower.
The next stop is Yering Station, where you will taste another sampling of wines produced in this region.
Before returning to Melbourne, visit the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie where you’re welcomed with free chocolate tastings, displays of thousands of premium chocolates and European chocolatiers at work handcrafting their creations.

We went on this tour on a Sunday and the Yarra Valley was very busy, complete with road closure and detour so I would chose a different day of the week.
The organic farm stop was the best one. At the chocolate stop we had a private room with an excellent commentator but it was very rushed and the store and grounds were packed and crowded. The winery stops were all nicely done. -
The tour was interesting and well done by Rachel, however the bus was terrible. We got stuck in the back seats of the bus. The bus was no where near state of the art, seats were small with tall backs and the visibility was very limited. The bus was so noisy couldn’t hear the guide much of the time.Wouldn’t do again.

Tour guide was informative , friendly and organized. He provided us with the history of the Yarra Valley and the wine industry. It was also great to experience some other products of the area. Great itinery with a good variety

This was a well-organized tour, with an excellent tour guide (Bryce). We visited three wineries, a dairy, a farm market, and a chocolaterie, and had good samples at all the locations. Lunch was very good as well. The wine tasting presentation at Yering Station winery was particularly good.

Thoroughly enjoyed the day. Jon was very knowledgeable and did a great job keeping everyone on schedule-even when a few tried his patience! I chose this tour as it was a good mix and not focused entirely on wine. A great tour to take to see some of the countryside and enjoy local produce.

This was an excellent way to spend a day--all the stops were great--from fresh fruit, to cheese, to wine, to wine, to wine, to chocolate! Highly recommend it.

I wanted to take some family members on a day out in or near Melbourne, ages ranged from 50s to 80. I needed a varied and interesting choice of venues, ie not all winery experiences. This tour certainly ticked the boxes.
The 2 winery experiences were good. The young ladies who presented were knowledgeable and vibrant in their presentations. The wines are of that area, so were similar at each venue. There was time for questions and discussion.
I think I would have liked more fruit choices in the orchard. However everything was of a good standard.
We visited the cheese factory at the same time as another group and didn't get a lot of information about the cheeses. The cheeses were delicious and there was plenty to go round.
The lunch at The Rochford Estate was well cooked and tasty. This visit was more impersonal than the other venues.
Adam our driver kept us well informed, his choice of music was good for us all. He definitely helped to make the day for us.
I would definitely recommend this trip, my party enjoyed the day. -
