On a City Sightseeing Melbourne bus tour, passengers can explore many of the city’s most famous and spectacular attractions and landmarks!
Along the City route, passengers can hop on and hop off at any of the 15 stops or stay on the tour for a full loop which takes roughly 120 minutes. Hop on to the bus at Stop 1, Federation Square, to begin the City tour from the beginning and enjoy panoramic views from the bus’ open-top deck of the contemporary, modern architecture that is located here. The square has become a central point within Melbourne and is home to many cultural attractions, as well as being the host to many enormous events.
Admire the sights of Melbourne from even higher up, by hopping off at Stop 3 and visiting the amazing Eureka Skydeck 88! Perfect for tourists, this attraction allows you to observe the city from the 88th floor and is the highest public viewpoint in the Southern Hemisphere!
Another incredible viewpoint along the route is on the Melbourne Star, another of the city’s tourist hotspots! Hop-off here and ride this amazing Ferris Wheel to enjoy more 360-degree views of the city!
Hop-off at Stop 8 for one of Melbourne’s most incredible attractions the Queen Victoria Market. This market is famous for being the largest open-air market in the Southern Hemisphere, filled with spectacular stalls and shops serving anything from fresh, local produce to souvenirs! If you’re looking for a family fun day out, hop-off at Stop 2 and visit the Melbourne Aquarium or continue along the tour to Stop 9, where you can hop-off and visit the Melbourne Zoo there’s plenty in this city to keep you busy!
Continue your sightseeing along the St Kilda route, which boasts another 12 tour stops or stay on for a full loop, taking approximately 90 minutes. Hop-off at the beautiful St Kilda beach which is the most famous beach in Melbourne and draws in the most tourists every year. The weather was great, the drivers and the operators are friendly and helpful. It was a nice way to see st kilda and the city sites with good commentary on the bus providing information about each stop.

the busses were so overloaded you could not get off and then back on again. Unable to hear the driver comments on top of the bus. Bos set around for 20 minutes trying to get every seat filled before moving on. Never use them!!!!!

My husband and I were in Australia for our honeymoon. The Hop-On Hop-Off Tour helped to make our time worthwhile in Melbourne. We were able to see so much on such a short time frame. Being able to hop on and off also allowed us to spend more time in areas of the city that appealed more to us. We had a great time!

For the most part, this is your typical Hop-On, Hop-off bus tour with a recorded narration as you wander through the city with the opportunity to get off and on as much as you like and time allows. This tour has 2 separate routes that have a couple of stops in common where you can move from one to the other - the City loop and St. Kilda loop. I would recommend catching the first bus on one of the routes and then transferring over to the other at one of the stops where they overlap to make sure you get to do both. The drivers I had were courteous and helpful, but bundle up if you are there in the winter, because I don't think the bus was heated.

loved the tour - they were so conscious of our ships departure time, they put all the people going to the 2 ships that were in port on two busses and got us to the port in plenty of time to get on the ship !!! Melbourne was very busy that day, Conventions, the US open Tennis, so roads were closed !!! There was a beach in town !!! would love to go back to Melbourne !!

It was awful!! Bus driver was the worst ever!! Hardly stopped at any of the stops.Never talked at all. Recorded tape only played. Bus broke down. Would never do a tour like this ever again!!!!!!!

A good way to get around the city. However be aware that on Monday and Wednesday the open market is closed and there is nothing around the area to see. I got off at Cathedral Place and you couldn't go into the church, only take pictures so it was a waste of 25 min waiting around for the bus. Chinatown was nice and they have a food court that is quite reasonably priced. If you want to sit on top you can't hear what is being said,they do not have earphones availability . People are very nice. You should get the St. Kills bus from Port take it to Federation Sq. Then change bus for Melbourne City and you won't have to pay 15th take shuttle.
