From Hobart, your group will take a leisurely drive up the Derwent River Valley, through the historic village of New Norfolk, to Mt. Field National Park, and Russell Falls, visiting the Salmon Ponds (optional) along the way.
After some nourishment at the restaurant (own expense) at Mt. Field, the excursion will continue down the other side of the Derwent River to Brighton, where one can spend an hour viewing the Tasmanian native animals at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Alternatively, some of the group may prefer to visit Zoodoo Wildlife Park, a wildlife park with a large range of native, agricultural, and exotic animals, including rare white African lions.
From whichever wildlife park your group chooses, continue on to Richmond Historic Village, where an hour can easily be spent wandering the village and visiting the original convict goal (own expense), the oldest convict constructed bridge in Australia, as well as the oldest Catholic Church and the oldest Anglican Church in Australia, and a model of Hobart circa 1820 (own expense), before returning to Hobart. The Richmond Bakery is a must for light refreshments, and the curried scallop pies are a specialty (own expense).
The 7 hour tour option ends at about 4 p.m. at the same place you met, or close by your cruise port. The 9 hour option ends at about 6:00 pm.行程概要出發地點
Cruise Ship passengers will be collected from Hunter Street, next to the monument, opposite the Henry Jones Art Hotel.
Land-based passengers will be collected in Elizabeth Street opposite the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre (corner of Davey and Elizabeth Streets, Hobart) or from their centrally located hotel. Refer to booking voucher for final confirmation.

This was a wonderful experience. The weather didn't cooperate with us so we didn't get to go to Russell Falls because of flooding, but our tour guide made a customized tour for just us. He suggested several options and we got to pick what we would like to do. The Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary was the high light of our trip to Tasmania!
